Works perfectly in our American car, kids love it, worth the few weeks wait for delivery

WOW is the first word that comes to mind when i think of this film!It's the full package. Beautiful animations on painted scenic backgrounds; a heart-warming story of freedom, friendship and determination; and an amazing soundtrack to tell the story.This film is for people of all ages. Children will marvel at the horses, the storyline and the radiant character of Spirit (as will many of the adults), while the adults can also appreciate the whole new level of animated films.The first best move in this movie is this- the animals don't talk. The only speech in the whole film is that of the internal voice of Spirit the Stallion (acting as narrator, not speech) and from human characters. Other than that, the story is told through the soundtrack and the movements and expressions of the characters. This lack of speech bring a sense of realism to the film and moves away from children's animated films.It also brings me to my next point. The soundtrack. The movie would be nothing without it. As I've said, it tells the story, acting as Spirit's voice, conveying his inner emotions. Bryan Adams' beautiful lyrics are filled with emotion and the melodies are beautiful, as are Hans Zimmer's instrumental melodies. This film's soundtrack is the best i've ever come across, perhaps because it plays such a vital role in making the movie the masterpiece it is.I could go on all day. Without a doubt one of my favourite movies of all time and, as i said, perfect for the whole family.

I was most dissappointed to see a one star review. I too am not a fan of Brian Adams (nothing against him personally), but this is not at all relevent I feel with this movie. It is a true family film with all the bells on..... get out the pop corn the tissues and the explanations of what freedom vs captivity is, and a little knowledge of the American Indians and a love of the wild and you're away..... What's not to like with 4 - 10 yr olds??? Don't care if I don't personally like the music of whoever.....actually it lends itself well to this tale and the age group it's aimed at. Kids can define their musical tastes later surely. I totally get that sugary obvious films grate as an adult but we adults really do have to get over ourselves when we're thinking about our children and what appeals/works for them.This is a fabulous family film, one of of our all time favourites....

The front cover looks a little childish and cheesy, but don't judge a book by its cover! This film is amazing! It's so inspiring, it really takes you on a proper journey, the soundtrack is fantastic and really compliments every moment of the film with sadness, love, suspense, and thought provoking music which is key as the music is basically representing how spirit feels as apart from a narractor from time to time spirit doesn't speak which adds to the beauty of this film and makes it even more inspiring and moving. The main characters Spirit, Rain, and Little Creek are loverble and a delite to watch. I'm a big softy with animals and for the animal lovers there are scenes that will make you cry but it is so worth your time. I loved this film when I first watched it at age 11, and I still love it now at age 23 :)

It's been a long time since the intro to ANY film animated or otherwise has been a big hit for me but this is THE exception. The whole film is great but the beginning really pulls you right in there. The animation and soundtrack are perfectly matched. I'm not a Bryan Adams fan really but he does a fantastic job with his contributions. Filmscore music is tops also. It's the best animated feature I've really enjoyed since perhaps watership Down(not comparing the two on a technical level). A great story and a feast for the eyes.Great for adults and children alike. My 3.5yr old loves it. I'm really irritated by apparent reviewers who don't actually review but instead give the whole plot of the film (??) I wont spoil it for you ..just be sure to see it if you haven't already!

Amazing movie, great quality.

Upon ordering this (used) product I was informed it was of 'very good condition', and true, I cannot fault the actual disc - it plays well, sounds good, enjoyed the movie! The actual disc case was scratched and definitely looked more second-hand though, but at least it plays well!Very very very pleased with the delivery time!! I was told it may take around 2/3 weeks to arrive, meaning worse-case scenario, it would arrive about a week after I wanted it (It was a gift). Fortunately though, it arrived in less than a week - Big thumbs up from me!

If you are a Bryan Adams fan you will love this film just for the fact that it's a B.A. music fest' from start to finish. If you don't like Bryan Adams you will love this film & come to love B.A. because of the quality of the score in association with Hans Zimmer as it is exceptional & thoroughly moving. If you have never heard of Bryan Adams you will love this film because of all of the above. As for the comments by Doug Thomas at Amazon.com.saying that the score would have benefitted from someone other than Bryan Adams singing the soundtrack, then I am afraid Mr Thomas either has very bad hearing or just no discernable taste in music whatsoever.
