Burn Notice - The Complete Series [DVD] [2014]

Loved it. Just as the TV one. Plenty of action

You kind of expect the formulaic stories, the interaction between the attractive lead actors, and wonder at the inventiveness of the script writers, coming up with different plot lines for each episode. What one doesn't expect is the idiocy of the people who decided to tale each episode with a string of legal notices in several languages. Honest: those notices, which have no relevance to home viewers, if they need to be shown at all, need no more than two or three frames, once, at the end of a disc. A bit like ponderous warnings of how much the American courts can fine you for stealing intellectual property. Have them by all means, but keep it to a couple of frames we barely notice. Then there's the disc menu: It would be more sensible that one only has to set the audio and subtitles up once per disc, and that, if watching discrete episodes, the end of one should move to the start of the next.Apart from these niggles which make the business of watching several episodes one after the other ('binge' watching) tedious, the picture quality is not that good. Very grainy and 'soft', compared with what could be achieved by Blu-ray, or even modern SD discs.But I don't let these things spoil my viewing pleasure.

Seen this before a while ago, decided to buy box set

It's an amazing release. Every episode in one box. It includes the "fall of sam max" dvd!!!I will be honest I was scared when I have read that only seasons 1-2 are pal and 3-7+fall of sam, are ntsc since I don't have region free dvd player but all it is, is that the dvds are still region 2 meaning they will play on any pal dvd player (in my case ps3) but the video output will be ntsc, meaning if your tv doesn't support this format you just won't see anything (which If you have hd tv should not be problem)But on to the dvd review, it's great. The quality of the video could have been better if it was a blu ray release but it's still great.All the bonus features are great for me Cos I'm a fan but I would not say they're a selling point for casual watchers as they're not that entertaining but they're informative!

This is a great light hearted action series, well acted that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's entertainment in its best form. Jeffrey Donovan is brilliant as Michael Westen and is superbly supported by the gorgeous Gabrielle Anwar as Fi and the sexy Bruce Campbell as Sam Axe. I love this show and the box set in great - it also includes The Fall of Sam Axe.The only reason that i haven't given this 5 stars is because of the shows insistance of recapping at the start of every episode. Any one who watches the show knows the premise, we really don't need the "My name's Michael Westen...." spiel in every episode - especially after season 1!!!!

This is one of those shows that's smart funny sexy he'll it's just one darn he'll of a spitfire this is a must have an at a good price too excellent cast from start to end you'll want to know if our heroes make it out alive an happy plot he an ex agent who gets burned but he needs to find out why cause it's the only thing his good at an he is good at what he does can be a bit over the top but that's a good thing let me tell u so great yourself u definitely deserve it wish I could give it then stars

Great series, really enjoyed it, lots of action and humor , I'd never heard of it before and took a chance buying it but glad I did. Totally recommend it.
