This book has several one and two pages histories on the bourbon industry in general, and more specific histories of distilleries. The cocktail recipes include the backgrounds on those recipes. That makes this book particularly delightful.

Great recipe book and gives good history of bourbon and the ingredients needed for the cocktails. It even has recipes for syrups and ingredients needed to make the cocktails, so I don't have to run to the store all the time. Am able to serve classy cocktails to my friends when they visit and they all rave about how great the drinks are. Definitely recommend this book if you want to get into bourbon mixed drinks.

Loved this book as a gift. Starts with history and background. Well made book, quality book. Contents of book is a wide variety beyond just recipes.

The quality of the book is outstanding. The pages have a nice thickness to them and the pictures are amazing. Lots of the recipes call for similar ingredients, so you will be able to make a few different drinks once you invest in a few basic ingredients.

Easy to read and informative. After touring the Bourbon Trail, I was excited to expand my learning and crafting of cocktails. This book is a terrific and informative starting point for learning, not only about bourbon, but also the wonderful cocktails that can be crafted. The book is laid out in a thoughtful way, which makes it easy to access the information, and presents it in a direct and unassuming way. If nothing else, do yourself a favor and pick this book up for its recipe on how to make a Lion's Tail. An truly wonderful cocktail, and a great resource.

Bought this for a friend for Christmas that loves whiskey, scotch and bourbon! He loves this book! It was given his new and easy cocktails to make! Awesome!

I got this book for the hubs for Christmas and he LOVES it! It really is a beautiful book and provides a great deal of info on bourbon, where it’s made, etc. He’s already tried several of the recipes and has been very pleased with them. His only complaint is that there are no recipes that include chocolate bitters, which he’s really interested in trying. Other than that, he absolutely loves it!

I have been dipping my toes in the water for a few years. This book tipped me over the edge and off the diving board. A fantastic combination of recipes, advice, and history. Highly recommend
