Yakamoz Decorating Pen, Pastry Icing Bag Nozzle Tips Fondant Cake Sugar Tool kit, 2

I bought this to help us with our super exiting seasonal family gingerbread man house project. The result of this joint effort was impressive and great fun for the children. And this cake decorating pen was ideal for the finishing touches and to create an abundance of snowy curls. This set and dispersion tool made is easy to evenly distribute and apply the sugar icing paste. And 4 different tip heads are included so that you can alternate the shape and patterns. We found the success depends on how watery you icing is - it shouldn’t be too sticky/thick. The children learned how to use it as well. Though be prepared to refill the bag frequently, as we found when decorating the roof tiles of our gingerbread house. And as always with this cream dispensers, it can be a bit of a messy job to refill the bag. The tool itself is easy to clean, yet the plastic bags are a bit flimsy and unlike the sturdy cream bags that come with the more professional, larger cream dispenser we have. So you have to be careful with cleaning.Even though its all small plastic pieces and 4 metal pen heads I found the £9 I paid for the set good value given the benefit we got from it.

I’m struggling a bit with this. My 6 year old grand daughter tried but couldn’t.

So much better for those with weak hands or grips, or just those wanting to do a lot of icing. I have just started making ginger and spice bread houses and castles for easter for my young neices. However trying to do the fine icing for the decorating was very hard on my weak arthritis hands. This is such a wonderful device for keeping a constant pressure, and therefore line, whilst icing. I have tried various ways of doing this - squeezy tubes, silicon pens... This is by far the best. I suggest you also get a box of disposable icing bags too. It fits very tightly round the tips, so mo squshing out of the side etc. Definately one of my best kitchen gadgets!

Didn’t work so well on full chocolate fondent

This is a gift so do not know what the recipient feels about it so cannot rate accurately. I think it looks great but have not used it myself.

Takes a little bit of effort to get the hang of it but once you do the sky’s the limit.

Its not easy to use. Very annoying and fiddly and i ended up just piping freehand.. way too messy.

Just as described used it for icing cakes and made it so much easyer with the pen thanks
