Absolutely not suitable for beginners. I appreciate there are a lot of crocheting terms to get used to but each practice and project was very poorly explained, it was like reading jebberish and the picture guides were not at all clear. There was a lot of guess work involved and had to turn to YouTube tutorials in the end for a clearer explanation and visual aids which made a massive difference. Overall, very disappointed but would be more suited for intermediate or experienced crocheters.

I bought this to re-aquaint myself with crocheting, having been quite adept at it when I was younger. I found the book very hard to understand. Allegedly you should be able to have a practice with the crocheting techniques and make a scarf out of the wool that is provided. Having followed the instructions I made a scarf just big enough for my toddler (and he's only small) so I'm feeling slightly aggrieved. I wouldn't recommend this kit. It would be cheaper to buy a crochet hook and some wool, and to borrow some books on crocheting from your local library.

Not too sure that this product is worth the money. Four small balls of wool, one crochet hook, a plastic small needle and a book of instructions. and they are not easy instructions for a total beginner.

Very good starter kit to learn how to crochet. Simple steps well explained and pictured.

This kit was beautiful but as a complete beginner the guide wasn't clear enough. I gave up and it's now in a drawer. For someone with a little knowledge of crochet it would make a lovely present.
