Delivery of this item was prompt, as promised, and not over-packed.The bottle makes it easy to dispense with only one exception. The dosage level for my dog, being a Westie and therefore in the smaller range of dogs, is below the levels marked on the measurements given. Even this minor inconvenience does not stop me from giving this product a five star rating.Our beloved 12 year old Westie has had skin problems for the last year and despite many, expensive, visits to the vet and various pills and potions including daily steroids nothing was clearing it up. In fact it was that bad that we were embarrassed to take him out in public. The poor dog was getting to the stage that there were open sores on his skin.We started giving him antihistamine pills daily which seemed to help with the itch but there was no improvement on his coat. After a few weeks of adding this to his meals we can’t believe the difference in his coat.Gone are the nasty open sores and also his fur has grown back healthier then ever. So much so we took him off the daily steroids, which I was never to keen on him getting in the first place, and we cannot believe the difference in his coat. Fur that we never thought would grow back again is thick and healthy. Visitors to the house and everyone who has seen him lately have openly remarked in the difference.He is still a wee bit itchy but nothing compared to how bad he was and to be fair the pollen count has been pretty high this year. Can’t praise this oil enough as it has resulted in one happy little dog with a lovely thick coat once again.I would also like to add that we have had no adverse results, stomach or bowel problems, from him consuming this but we do split his daily dosage between his morning and evening meal.

This is brilliant stuff and I can noticeably see the difference in my dog when she is not taking this. Shyanne is an Alaskan Malamute who has IMPA (Immune Mediated Polyarthritis) and is nearly 6 years old, she has had it for nearly 3 years now. She was once on 100mg of steroids a day which caused her to develop liver failure and pancreatitis. She has now been off her medication a year, along with good, quality food, a dose of this on top of her food in a morning and a herbal supplement with green lipped mussel in you would never know how ill she is. She is like a young dog again and full of energy, her eyes are bright, her coat soft and shiny. She once went 3 days without it and in those 3 days she seemed a lot stiffer than usual and in a bit more pain with moving around. I have recommended this to a number of people who have dogs with arthritis and they too have noticed the results, for the price it really is worth it. Shyanne weighs 35kg and a bottle of this lasts about 3 months and she is quite fussy with what she eats but has never turned her nose up at this. If you have a dog with arthritis or a senior dog over 7 years old don't hesitate in buying this, the service was brilliant and delivered earlier than expected which Shyanne really appreciated.

I have a JR x Springer spaniel, she had a problem with hair loss around her tail and inside hind legs, due to itchy skin, the vet recommended omgea 3 tablets and when we ran out I looked for a cheaper alternative and found flax oil, we've had it about a month now and hair around her tail has almost grown back, hind legs not so much, but early days. She has a slight weight problem, which we don't like to discuss it in public lol, the vet suggested a dry food, that hasn't gone down very well, this is a dog who will eat everything....except dog food!!! So when I added it to her dry food she gobbled it up in minutes, result! I would recommend this product and have found the litre bottle good value for money for my size dog. I found the supplier to deliver promptly and will be reordering when needed, going on current useage a litre bottle will last approx 2 months for us. Hope this is helpful

I have an older samoyed with arthritis issues and a younger terrier mix with seasonal skin allergies so I was researching and reading reviews on flax oil as an alternative to fish oil (both my dogs didn't like the smell or taste of fish oil) as it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps maintain skin and coat when I came across Actif Pets Flax Oil and decided to give it a try.I was first impressed with the design of the bottle with its self-contained measuring cup which saves on mess but more importantly both my dogs loved it pretty much immediately with no digestive upsets which we had with previous oil supplements.We have been using it for over 2 months now and I can say I have repurchased this product as I have noticed an improvement in my terrier's skin and coat which has gone from being dry,shedding fur and flaky skin to healthy and soft as well as definately helped in the shedding department.As for my older samoyed we have noticed the oil helps her with chewing and digesting her food and we feel it has helped her artritis in that she's not as stiff to get up and got some of the mobility and range of movement back.Overall I think this is a worthwhile product to introduce into your dogs diet whether its for the anti-infammatory properties or to aid digestion or for healthy skin and coat.

This stuff is amazing!I’ve been going to the vets for months with a dog who is allergic to everything. She was covered in large raised spots all over her back and had super dry skin. She wouldn’t stop scratching.The vets have given us very med they can and cost a fortune and nothing helped.I started this about a month ago and her spots on her back have almost vanished and her hair is super shiny.I put it on her breakfast and she eats it without any issue.No smell that I could see either.I’m super pleased. She obviously still has allergy issues but this has made a big difference for her.
