Clover Pom Maker: Large, Other, Blue/Green/Off White

Well made product. Written instructions a little brief, but a quick visit to YouTube provided all the information I needed to get started. Very easy to produce perfect pom-poms and oddly satisfying to make. A couple of tips - if you fill all the available space with wool (this will make sense once you start), you will end up with a very solid, dense pom-pom - great for some projects, but a little too heavy for a bobble hat. Stop winding when about half the space at the centre has been filled. Also, if you want more than one colour in the pom-pom in a random, speckled 'pattern', wind the different coloured strands together rather than wrapping one colour at a time.

My Grand Daughters (7 and 10) had great fun with these and used up most of my odd wool making Pom Poms! They both found it really easy to use. Mind you it took me a while to work it out as the instructions are not very clear. But once I realised the two arms should be made separately and then pushed together to cut and tie up - it was really easy! Better than two bits of card!

I love these pom pom makers, they are so much faster and easier to use than the old way of making pom poms using 2 circles of card. The reason I've only given 4 stars is because the small set makes pom poms of 35 and 45mm, and the large set makes pom poms of 65 and 85mm, so if you need to make pom poms in several sizes there is a very obvious jump from 45mm to 65mm. I made a pom pom wreath and ended up making 65mm pom poms then trimming them down to 55mm to fill in what looked like a big gap between sizes. The trimming was more time consuming than making the pom poms. I also think 55mm would be the best size for bobble hats - the 45mm seems too small and the 65mm too big. So I think that either the small or the large set should have a 55mm pom pom maker.

The best pom pom makers out there!!! I was a little sceptical at first as I thought compared to my budget 3 for £2 tiger pom pom makers they were a little expensive but, I decided to give them a go as I had a project requiring a LOT of pom poms. These are definitely worth the investment!! They are durable and keep the wool in place after you have cut the wool as you tie the wool around the middle. I love them so much! You can create a really lovely pom pom with them of different sizes. I loved them so much that when I was next at my local hobbycraft store I bought the smaller set too.

For those of us who remember cardboard circles trying the get the yarn through as the hole gets smaller, these are a gift! The arms open for you to wind the yarn/thread over and once you get the hang of the method they are so easy! I have teeny ones and a couple of big ones. Great for kids to use. I'd recommend guidance with scissors if young children are making - embroidery scissors are the best for snipping through the wound yarn. A bit expensive but definitely worth it if you make a lot of pompoms.

So easy to use and makes the perfect large, round pom pom. I got this and the smaller version in order to make pom pom tree decorations at Christmas and so far, it's not let me down once. All the pom poms I've made with it have come out perfectly, requiring little to no trimming. And unlike the old fashioned way I used to use (two circles of cardboard with a hole in the middle to thread the yarn through) the pom poms I've made with this don't fall apart once I've tied the yarn round the middle. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to make pom poms, I would highly recommend giving this a go.

A nifty gadget that’s very easy to use. Quickly achieves a very good result so saves time. Pom-poms come out very full and fluffy. I bought the large and the small size which came in the same packet for £7.50. Good quality item and a great buy. I highly recommend.

This is a strong Pom Pom maker,well worth buying... lots of other makes are flimsy, & break quite easily, I have now purchased the smaller size Pom Pom makers from this company now, very pleased with those too,
