Shires Wessex Soft Feel Lunge Line 8m Black

I bought this as a long line for my spaniel as the other ones I had were hard on the hands and made them sore. This lead is really nicely padded and really good quality. I was confused about the clip attachment at first as it’s knotted on rather than attached but once I’d looked at it and pulled it about a bit realised it’s very secure, more so than ones that are sown in. I’m sure it will get very wet and muddy in winter as it’s absorbent but can live with that. It came within a couple of days too.

This is a great value line, and certainly of similar quality to that provided by the dog training school that I am visiting with my puppy every week. Their's was about twice the price, but available in different colours.This one is nice and thick / padded, very comfortable to hold, and use with the dog. Other puppy owners (at my puppy school) have been especially envious of the neat carrying bag which comes with the line - this means that it is neatly contained within your bag of other puppy training stuff (it's like having a baby all over again!). The line is very easy to roll up and put away into the storage bag (just as long as your puppy lets you!). A good purchase, of great quality. I would buy it again.

I bought this as a long training lead for my strong Labrador as he’d broken his previous long lead. The material is much nicer to hold and there’s a less chance of getting rope burn, it also comes in a little bag which helps to keep it tidy on walks until you need to use it. I would 100% recommend this instead of the traditional long training leads for dogs. I also use it for lunging my horse and it’s nice and strong with a decent grip on it for when he decides to have a play and take off in the other direction. :)

Great product

This is a really nice lead, it is strong and soft to handle. I use it for training my dog even though it is designed for horses. I find the 8M length manageable and also long enough to allow my dog some freedom whilst being sure she won't run off. EDIT: After using the lead for a while I wanted to point out that it gets very heavy when wet as the material absorbs water. This is the downside of using it with a dog as obviously it is designed for use with a horse. You certainly wouldn't want a dog to go swimming with it attached.

Used on my pony with Cavesson. Nice and light to attack to the “top of nose” set up on cavesson and doesn’t bother his nose in any way. Also using to lunge in a headcollar. Of course it gets tangled but I think that’s more user error than the product. But if you like heavy old school lunge lines this may be too light and soft or perhaps if your horse is prone to crazy fits on the lunge who knows the buckle may give in?? I don’t lunge in the traditional BHS way round and round in fast circles but do more classical work and stay closer to him and move with him. I really like it and it has stayed very fresh with approx weekly use and has served my purpose very well. What’s a bit long for what I use it for (hence the tangling!) but great otherwise!

I chose this to use daily. it's been brilliant. Soft on your hands but not too bulky to hold. Easy to use i.e. it feels a good width in your hand, easy to wrap up, keep clean and to work with. You can have all the girlie colours you could want and its a fair price.

For some reason the picture with the black Line is white, and I was kind of hoping white would arrive but it didn't. However, I used this for the first time today, and am very impressed. The line is genuinely soft, the clip seems good quality, and, while sturdy, it was by no means to heavy for my dog (I'm working with a rescued street dog with no guaranteed sense of re-call yet). I Can coil it all in one hand but only just ~ because it is beautifully padded and does indeed feel very soft. I recommend it highly.

Es tal y como esperaba. No sabiauy bien que esperar pq había leído reseñas que indicaban que el producto no era tal y como lo especificaban, pero en nuestro caso ha sido lo que esperábamos. Tela, algodonada como de tubo, tal y como se ve en las fotos. Veremos el mosquetón si aguanta tiempo o no, pero de momento va bien. La presentación también genial, venía en una bolsa de cremallera ideal para volver a guardar la cuerda y no tenerla tirada por ahí. La recomendamos.

An sich eine gute Longe, aber leider farblich kein rosa wie bestellt sonder knallpink. Deswegen nur 3 Sterne, hier muss der Verkäufer die Angaben dringend korrigieren!

Ich hab eine Farbe genommen, die auffällt in der Hoffnung, dass das Teil nicht wieder so schnell verschwindet. Ansonsten ist sie ok für den Preis und tut das, was sie soll.
