Comfortable and excellent design features
Wanted a pack for longer hikes with room but compact. The Talon 33 fit the bill perfectly. The Airscape system allows air to your back to you don't get too sweaty. Hip straps very comfortable and both them and shoulder straps fully adjustable. I didn't know what the stow as you go system was when I bought it but when I discovered it - it's awesome. I don't use poles all the time on a hike so being able to put them away without taking the pack off is so useful. Hip and shoulder pockets are decent to have quick to access small items like snacks, garmin, phone etc. Also fits a 2.5L hydration bladder perfectly with a clasp to hold it in position.Just did a 2 day, very steep, hike in Greece with this carrying everything I needed for the trip. I did use compression packing cubes to save space but everything fit and the pack was very comfortable throughout. It's not cheap in the slightest. But to be honest it's worth the money for comfort and design. You do get what you pay for.One warning - there is no raincover - it's sold seperately and have to pack it in the bag. Other, cheaper, bags include one tucked away in a base pocket. I'd drop a half a star for that but it's all or nothing with Amazon.Overall it's an excellent backpack and I'm going to get the 22L one for shorter hikes too. The raincover I bought separately will be used for both.

Excellent lightweight pack
These are very lightweight and comfortable rucsacs with a lot of really practical features. First impressions were that there seem to be an awful lot of straps and too many odd pockets. After a couple of weeks using it on a daily basis for hillwalking I really appreciate the thought that has gone in to the design. The pockets on the waist strap or on the side of the bag are really handy for small items, and the external pocket on the back can easily take a large water bottle saving the need to open the main part of the rucsac. Possibly the most impressive thing is how light and comfortable the bag is to carry even in very hot weather. It is too early to say how long the bags will last, but the manufacturing quality and materials appear to be high. For anyone looking for a slightly larger day pack I'd recommend these.

Nice pack
Good size , plenty pockets , easily adjusted to suit , very comfortable pack, do not understand why it’s not waterproof, I bought the lightweight 33l rollsack , for inside the pack to keep my kit dry , I feel this should come as standard, as I don’t like the waterproof cover.

Osprey Talon just got better.
Love be it, have the old 22 version, this one is better as it’s almost same size for the main compartment top to bottom. The new straps are more comfortable, I am yet to find any backpack, other than a trampoline style back, where my back doesn’t sweat, al I can say is this one if comfortable, for me comfort is more important.I think I will avoid using a bladder, reasons, it impedes space in the main compartment, where as the side pouches less so, plus on a hot day a cold bladder is nice until you warm up the contents with your hot back.I’m yet to use the in earnest, ie fully ladened but so far I’m very impressed, really nice quality built, love the fact this is a larger fit than the old versions, about time!Best bits are the large hip pockets and the comfortable straps. And yes the lifetime guarantee is invaluable and I used it no issue on the last pack for a emplacement buckle.May be back for an updated review but so far give it 5 stars.

An excellent dayhike mountain walking rucksack
I have been very impressed so far with the build quality, comfort and attention to detail of Osprey rucksacks, and in particular their Talon range. The back system is very comfortable and manages to strike a good line between ventilation and a close secure fit when scrambling. The mess side pockets easily accommodate a 1L nalgene bottle, and the mesh front pocket a laminated OS map. The top pocket is also a good size for a small first aid kit, hats & gloves. There is also climbing rope compressor under the lid. The materisls feel pretty sturdy, although I probsbly won't use the sack for climbing given the large areas of mesh on the outside which could easily get snagged. For general hillwalking, hiking and scrambling this sack is hard to fault.

The Talon 22 transfers the weight of your sack contents to your legs.
It is more comfortable than daysacks without hip belts. The hip belts transfer the weight of the contents onto the legs, the strongest muscles in the body. It definitely helps take pressure off the back. The ability to adjust the back means the transfer of weight to the hips is more precise and personalised than sacks with a one size fits all limitation. The airscape ventilation sat the back means less sweat and more airflow to your back that keeps it cooler than other daysacks. The bag is light with padded shoulder and hip straps that mean the straps do not cut into your body.

Great overnight pack.
Great size pack for an overnight bivy camp. Very comfortable as long as you don't overload it. I wouldn't want to carry any more than 10kgs in the 33 litre size.

Great Pack
I took this bag hiking in Utah for about a week. The bag holds up and the waist straps really keep the weight off your shoulders. This is a very comfortable bag.If you are worried about the size because you are in between the small/medium and large/X-Large don’t worry they adjust for the 19-21 inch size and both fit pretty well.

Good price for a top quality pack
This is a well made pack from a quality manufacturer. I look forward to may years of service. My only complaint is the old school top loading. Many newer packs have a larger flap opening to give more access into the bag. However, I think this more traditional opening is more waterproof than the zipper style that is prevalent on the market today. You just need to be more organized and methodical in your packing to use this style of top closure.

Leicht, stabil, funktional
