This is the best charcoal. Big pieces of charcoal that retain heat for a long time. It’s easy to light - I make a Small fire from kindling then put the charcoal on top. You don’t need lots of it on the BBQ as the chunks are so big.

After trying countless brands, the Big K Chilla-Grilla is now my go-to charcoal, especially for my Kamado Joe. While it might be slightly pricier on Amazon, the convenience of home delivery and the quality are absolutely worth it. Generally excellent charcoal with a long burn time. Unfortunately this particular batch had small pieces which fell through.

Good sized charcoal if you can get a good price. This brand seems to always have good sized pieces which is better for longer cooks in smokers or Kamado’s. I managed to get a really good deal on these and have bought the brand from other retailers aswell. Just shop around for prices.

Ok, I've been buying the non restaurant grade for a year now and decided to try this out given it's the start of summer. The difference is crazy! In this bag you get HUGE chunks, so big you have to break them down for something like a kettle BBQ. I'll never go back to non restaurant grade anymore.

I bought this because of the general good reviews, I don't understand what's wrong with all your taste buds! This charcoal totally ruins the flavours of the food makes everything taste what I can only describe as burnt rubber. Will use the rest in the chiminea and go back to Kamado Joe big block. If the rating had minus stars it would be -5 from me, yuck, totally ruined my Saturday.
