These are really good. Suitable for a cable up to 6.mm after that you may have difficulty tightening the two securing screws in order to slide the insulated cover over the metal sleeve. Better fit on the amplifier terminals if you can use the smaller lug fixing. Find the correct small screw driver and rest and push down on a firm surface like the floor. Do not solder the tip of the wire to stop multicore cables splitting. This could cause difficulty in getting both screws flush.

My Mission QX-2 speakers are using these and it's easy to connect or re-wire if necessary.

If you cannot use a banana plug, and don't want to use just bare wire, then spades/shovels could be the answer.Check and upgrade your speaker connections!
