Good, Hardwearing Mice That Last
Been using these MS Basic mice for years. They are comfortable in the hand and robust. My first one lasted almost 8 years. My current one has been in service for 4 years and still going strong (used all day every day) and I've only ordered this spare because I got a discount from Amazon!

Clicks a bit annoying
Good standard mouse. Microsoft used to make elite mouses, they may still do but this isn't it. Budget mouse but ergonomics are good, doesn't feel too cheap but not top quality either. The mouse clicks a little loudly which is quite annoying.

Great value
Comes with a wodge of instructions - I could only understand 4 of the languages. And there was no Latin!Microsoft mice and keyboards have a great reputation. (It's the first time in more than a decade that Microsoft have had any of my money.)Take out of box, plug in USB connector, GO!Better movement resolution than the mouse it replaced. Nice feel and sound to the buttons. Professional feel to the scroll wheel. No complaints. Estimate USB cable 1.4 metres.UPDATE March 2022In constant use since mid-September, (i.e. about 5 months) when the springy bit for the left-click lost its bounciness, leading to uncertainty about button release. Not had this with a Microsoft mouse before. It's not a statistically-significant sample, but I can no longer recommend this design, let alone this device. It regains its spring after a few days rest. I'd be better served by sawing off the front inch of each side and operating the microswitches with bare fingers. It's the design concept that's flawed, in combination with our lack of knowledge of the fatigue characteristics of the plastic leaf-springs in use.

A very good product indeed.

Good
Only got this because of trouble with the mouse pad on my laptop. Use it all the time now even though mouse pad problem is fixed. Nice shape in hand.

Great replacement basic mouse
This is exactly what I was after after my last mouse's cable bizarrely snapped! I didm't want any fancy gimmicks; just a basic mouse which will hopefully last for years with it being Microsoft

Good quality, good price.
My old Microsoft Intellimouse (6-7 years old!) started behaving erratically a few days ago, so I started to look around for a replacement. One problem I had was that a lot of mice are now made very much smaller than they used to be, probably to appeal to people who want to use one with a laptop, and don't want a bulky device. However, I have always found smaller mice to be awkward and uncomfortable to use, so I was determined to find one which was a reasonable size. I also wanted a wired mouse, as I hate messing around with batteries. I considered the Microsoft "Comfort" mouse, but at £16 plus delivery, it seemed a bit of a rip-off. I then found this one, and it fits the bill almost exactly. It is still a little smaller than my old mouse, but not by much, so it still feels pretty comfortable. The optical sensor seems to be better than my old ball-type. And it's a lot lighter. The only other downside, apart from the smaller size, is that the button switches are a lot louder and seem to be lower quality, although I admit that's a pretty subjective judgement. Time will tell if the buttons stand up to the hard use I'm going to put them through! At £10, with free super-saver delivery, the price is pretty reasonable too. Overall, a good product.
