The Root Farm Hydro Garden System is a water-based (aka "recirculating") hydro system that makes it easy to start growing fresh produce at home year-round*. By pumping water and nutrients straight to plant’s roots, this system allows plants to grow faster and fuller compared to traditional gardening. The system is designed to fit a standard cage and stake supports to aid with the growth of larger plants. The multiple planting sites also allow for users to grow 1 to 4 plants at a time. Users can grow four small plants, two medium plants, or one large plant. With a sleek and simple design, this system is great for use on the patio or in the home with sufficient lighting. *When grown indoors with supplemental lighting

Warning! This product is complete junk.
When I first received the product, the translucent tubing running from the valve was cracked. The tubing was cracked exactly the same way that previous reviews have reported and pictured. I called Root Farm, and they agreed to send a replacement. In 10 days, I got a package from Toro with the black drain tube, instead of the proper one. The tubing used in this product is very poor, and was not cut to the proper lengths. I decided to go to the hardware store, and buy some decent tubing. I was able to get the unit working with the new tubing, but the pump burnt out within 10 minutes. I called Root Farm, and they refused to replace the pump, stating that they had never heard of a pump failing! They indicated that my only option was to return to Amazon. It turns out, that I had a spare pump in my parts bin, and I was able to rig up the system to work. I have purchased a lot of products over the years, but this one tops the list for poor engineering, poor materials, poor manufacturing, and poor support. This is one to stay away from. I should have listened to the prior reviews!

Cracked tubing...water everywhere
Great idea! I ordered two. One has a crack in the pipe system and spurts water everywhere. I will contact company. The other works spectacularly! I will update and amend my review if I can resolve issue with cracked pipe.

mediocre product, horrible customer dervice
This "system" is toy like. It has no practical value. Basically it is an expensive 5 gallon bucket. It arrived with broken plastic tubing. I called customer service to request replacements. I was told they probably didn't have any. I was instructed to disassemble the tubing, take pictures, send them to them and if they could find any they would consider sending them to me. If not, I should try and return the product. I felt this was not the correct way to service a customer. In the end, I went to Lowes and bought some plastic tubing to replace the broken pieces. I would have returned it except we had already painted the bucket white. Be warned, this product and company rate very low.

Cracked Tube On Arrival
I want to like this product but it arrived to my door with a partially cracked tube. I reached out to the company and I have not heard a response. I love their grow light but this cracked tube issue is unprofessional and I look forward to it being resolved.

poor quality
all 3 of the water lines on the inside of the unit were cracked. Returning it for new, hopefully the replacement doesn't have the same issues.update: received a replacement in a very timely manner. one hose was cracked but still water tight. I'm on my second growth cycle and this thing is awesome. I've purchased some cheap 1/2" tubing that i should be able to replace the lines before my next cycle, but for now its working very well. updated from 1 start to 4...

Expensive only because it looks good, functionality and effectiveness is poor
I also have cracked tubing in the same areas the previous reviewers have posted, water leaks out and all 4 streams are so weak that they don't reach the plants. I think the main issue is that either the pump is too weak to output a stable stream of water or that the tubing is just that horrendously designed, maybe both. The center slot for a large plant is the most neglected as it is farthest from all the spouts and no water touches it, only way for a plant to get water is to submerge the roots and have your own fish air pump underneath it. Should not cost $100 for a hydroponics pot that doesn't do its job better than a $40 hydroponic pot even if it looks better design-wise, I suggest committed buyers to find it when it costs $50. I will most likely spend either +$20 more to fix the tubing or +$20 on shipping for a replacement.Only pro is that it is quiet and has a relaxing dripping ambiance.

I’ll stick with the aerogarden
My husband loves Hydroponics. He has had many aero gardens. We saw this and figured it looked so much nicer then the other ones that we’d give it a shot. When we tried to set it up it leaked everywhere. Found out that the base was cracked and had to send it back.
