I found this machine to be excellent value and very sturdy with plenty of resistance for my needs. Fairly easy to assemble and well packaged. The only issue I have is with the display which does not have labels beside each measurement. You need to remember what each number means. There is no means of removing the distance measurement which I found a little unrequired. My heart rate monitor didn't work with the display so not sure what type is required. Machine itself works smoothly and is very well built. Would definitely recommend at this price.

Bought this rowing machine after reading the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. It was delivered when it says it was going to be even over the Easter holiday period. Took about 20 mins to set up ( instructions straight forward) looks like a few minor details have been ironed out, like there is no lettering on the seat rail so no more catching of that. I bought this machine to keep fit in the comfort of my own home not to row the boat race and it does the trick . You can definitely feel the burn after a good workout.

Really good solid rower. I am 6'4" and i'm nowhere near the back stops, also over 18 stone and takes my weight easily. Nice and smooth, quiet too. Plenty of tension adjustment. Digital display is clear but writing on sides showing what each display is is very small and hard to read when sat on the seat. Folds up nice and easy too.

It is a good quality and compact product which provides a good workout for the price paid. However, the resistance is not that great (I’m an average female), maybe you will benefit from doing higher reps. I do HIIT on it (2 min rowing, 1 min rest). When I was doing 1 min rowing and 1 min rest, my heart rate was not going to 80% or 90% of max heart rate. It is however no match for air rowing machines such as Concept 2.

I chose this item over a very similar equivalent largely due to the fact that it wasn't grey. I noticed in the reviews of this item that someone had commented on the fact that some of the paint had flaked off of the plastic front-piece. I gudged at the time that this was probably a one-off, and wouldn't likely affect the product in general. However, as we were assembling the equipment, I came across a sizeable bubble of paint that came away from the plastic case, leaving a fair chunk of grey plastic contrasting nicely with the black and red colour scheme. This surely must indicate a fault in the manufacturing process, that is obviously not controlled by coating adhesion tests post-process. Despite this flaw, the product is easily assembled, and very sturdy. The seat looks comfortable, but still, after 5k you'll know about it. My son assured me that this is the norm for rowing machines. The digital display gives basic information. I'm not sure that the calorie counter is very accurate though - it appears to continue counting even when not rowing, but then I suppose you're burning calories even when at rest. I haven't noticed the rate of calorie count change when adjusting the level of flywheel resistance, but That would be quite a sophisticated feature for a £200 piece of equipment.

Recently got this rowing machine, and realy like it. First of all, I am not a profesional rower or anything like that, but I do a decent amount of sport (mostly rock climbing) and wanted something to do at home. I am not a tall person (1m70 or 5ft69 -i guess I still not get what the f*** with the feet and inch s***...), but I am far from reaching the back of the machine so i guess it will work perfeclty for someone up to 20-25 cm taller than me (will not do the math for you). Rowing mechanism is very silent, we only ear the seat sliding, so no worries about that. Dificulties level are ok, I guess the top one is too light if you are very into rowing but give a decent amount of workout for me (but should you spend only 200£ if you want to be very serious about rowing ?), and I actually go to the midle ones for normal cardio/fat burn training. Folding is easy and take only seconds, the stuff is fairly compact when folded. Console is minimalistic but do the job. Look sturdy, but will update on this if I have any problem in the next months (= if no update it is good).
