Purchased a box of food tokens when I purchased Wingspan. Really like them and they are well made so I would give them 5 stars. Also purchased the European expansion kit so decided to get another box of food tokens. Much to my dismay the food tokens are not made the same way as the first box I received.The first set was a clear plexi that is screen printed and thicker than the second set. The new ones are colored plexi with white detail printed on them. A bit larger and darker than the original set which I would also give 5 stars if I had never seen the first set.Gave them 3 stars because they do not match. May return one of them and get another set so they match.See photo the original set is on the top and the second set with color plexi is on the top.

I'm always a fan of more deluxe tokens in games, metal coins over cardboard, etc. The eggs that come with wingspan are amazing, but I wanted something more satisfying for the food tokens. I got these and they were a huge hit with our player group. They look and feel nice, good quality. I can only hope that this seller will create a nectar token for the Oceania expansion ASAP, because I will need matching tokens!If you love Wingspan and a more luxe game experience, this is a good choice.

Wingspan is not a "resource-limited" game, meaning if players exhaust a type of food token, the game isn't "out"; you just use something else as a substitute. While these pieces are of good enough quality, there should be just a few more of each type--except the nectar tokens.If you play the Oceania expansion pack, look elsewhere. The game requires much more nectar than the other food types and you can see in the photos that the same amount is provided. We can't get through a TWO-player game without digging into the old cardboard tokens. It's ridiculous.
