The product looks nice and it's the right size but, as said by an earlier reviewer, the holes in the top rail are too close to the corner to work properly. The issue is that the rings (welded to the small arms at the top of the racks) jam against the back flange of the top rail.It's a pity because the seller has two really simple engineering solutions available to eliminate this problem.1) To turn the top rail over so that it is the same way up as the bottom rail; in this case the ring will have more space and will not jam.2) To eliminate the top set of rings completely; their purpose is to support the weight of each rack and rug... but this can be done adequately by the lower set of rings.Having bought the item, and wanting to get it up quickly, I fixed the problem by simply cutting off the two metal strips that join the top and bottom rails. That left me with the two rails which I simply mounted on the wall at the correct separation.

Given the earlier experience of others with the lugs of the supporting arms of their units snagging the flange of the supporting rails, we approached this with a little trepidation. However, as the photos show, our review unit (supplied free of charge) did not have that issue and the rug supporting arms slot perfectly into the holes in the top and bottom rails and swivel freely. All 5 rug supporting arms fitted perfectly in any of the available holes and the rear support frame has since been satisfactorily fitted to a brick wall in the tack room. Just loaded with 2 rugs to start with as we are playing safe until we obtain another another 4 Rawlbolts to fully secure the frame which has a total of 12 holes for fixing the frame to a load bearing wall. Cannot see any issues in taking 5 rugs when the frame is fully secured. Take note that you have to supply the fixing bolts.There are a total of 10 possible positions for the 5 rug supports and it only takes seconds to reposition them. They will not fold flat against the wall but still move to a very wide angle so as not be a hindrance.Our unit did not have any sharp edges on the wall frame or supports and appears to be built of heavy duty components. Too early to comment on long term durability but if any issues develop, I will update the review.Given the poor experience of earlier reviewers, I almost hesitate to give this a 5/5 but in all honesty, our unit had no assembly or installation issues and appears up to the task. No obvious disadvantages to our review unit so we have no reason not to suggest that this should be strongly considered if you are looking for a heavy duty rug hanger that can take up to 5 rugs.

The holes of the top bar are too close to the back to allow the arm to slot in when it is fixed to the wall. It appears the top bar has been wielded upside down!

Saddlers 5 Arm Epoxy Coated Rug HangerThe product.This is a 5 folding arm rug hanger for storage and drying.Build.The build is very strong but there are few sharp edges on the steel due to poor finishing.Mounting.As it is the arms would touch a wall so would scrape when opening. To overcome this, I put a thick washer between the mainframe of this and the wall. The extra 10 mm clearance means the arms open and close properly. Obviously, someone did not do their measurements carefully or look at this in quality control. I would have expected better design for the price asked. Now it is mounted with spaces and I have filed off the sharp edges it works well.Overall.A useful folding rack for rug drying and storage. Poorly finished with sharp edges and in need of spacers to fit correctly. Once these had been addressed the hanger works well but for the price, I would have expected better quality and finishing.

sadly we seem to be having similar issues to the other reviews. although all the parts are well made and certainly heavy duty ( weighs a ton) we have really struggled to get this up and doing what it should which is such a shame as it would have been so useful.i am sure my husband with his skills and tools can fix the problem when he finds it butu really at this price you shouldnt have to.

Good rug rack arms which can be easily attached to the wall. It lost one star as the arms are not that big so not very useful if you have big heavy rugs.

I gave up in the end, it was misaligned and not the best. For the price I'd expect better quality control.
