JSport by Jambu Women's Newbury-Water Ready Fisherman Sandal

This is the 4th pair of water shoes I've had in the past 10 years, but by far the best! And the cutest! The fit is perfect, but is adjustable. The insole is cushy but supportive. They don't slip or slop at the heel due to the velcro strap around the back. They don't come up too high like a lot of other styles that cut into my lower ankle. They do a fantastic job of protecting my toes and feet during water aerobics. They also seem to be quality made, like they would last a long time. I would recommend to anyone looking for this type of water shoe!

Jambu are one one of go to favorites for outdoor shoes. They’re comfortable, rugged, tough and stylish. I usually shop for these at Macy’s. I’m excited to find some styles here on Amazon. I had to return these because they were too wide but the seller was easy to work with. I just needed to return with the original packaging.

These are great and dry out every easy but they run small. I’m a size 8 and I wish I would have purchased an 8 1/2 or 9. Also there is not much support so after wearing them for a full day and hiking my feet were very sore. They are great for sort hikes or playing at the lake.

My decision to try the Jambu Newbury was based on two things, quick drying time and enough protection for potential injury to my feet by sharp objects and the occasional wading through rocky, uneven surfaces. The amount of straps in the front of the shoe cover enough of your foot for protection and eliminate the sideways slip that yo would get with a sandal or more open shoe. The velcro strap in the back helps sit your foot in the shoe in the position you need. There are many times when dexterity and flexibility are needed in a shoe intended for my purpose. Moving quickly and easily from bow to stern for on water adjustments on boats is imperative. The lack of a toe bumper is a plus, toe bumpers pose a trip and fall factor when moving quickly with agility. I spend a lot of time on the water for coaching. Wading to the docks at high tide, and sitting in a launch with a puddle of rain water amongst other random reasons to be knee deep. I started with purchasing a lace up sneaker style water shoe that offered the protection of my foot for the gymnastics sometimes required for my duties. But....they have no ventilation, resulting in long period of drying and to put it bluntly they stink! They take great measures to remove the odour between uses. From my perspective in the world of wet feet the Jambu water shoe , meet and exceed the need for dexterity, these shoes are perfect. They dry before I have to get in my car, they are very stable, and also very stylish. If you have to spent hours in water shoes, you may as well look good! No duck feet, no stink! These hit the nail on the head.

Nice looking shoes but runs ever so slightly small. The back heel has a lip on the inner sole that was really hurting my foot. It almost feels like my foot does not go all the way in, I do have very high arches though (not great arch support either, but not like going barefoot either). I was going to return them but had already worn them for a long walk. I decided to just wear them for short walks or brief periods when not doing anything too strenuous and after about a week or so the inner sole feels a lot softer. I can see how these may give wide footed individuals blisters or if someone was a borderline shoe size (definitely go up!). In summary I’d say to order a half size larger if you tend to run a bit higher on your shoe size and don’t expect to wear these immediately for any long day.

I used the shoes in a recent Galápagos island hiking tour, it fits me perfectly , light weight and comfortable. Also gives good traction on rocky path . Great price too and looks lovely

These shoes are the best. They are very comfortable, look great and are quality made. The price was amazing. The first time that I wore them I received a lot of compliments. A friend of mine bought a pair after seeing mine. Would definitely this brand again.

Sand comes right in the sides on the beach AND in the ocean. Absolutely horrible for the beach!
