Very accurate and easy to build
Hard to misalign any of the parts as they come with pins and holes, which I appreciated as getting landing gear lined up in these kits can be quite difficult. I had no major issues with my copy, my only complaint is that the instructions aren't very clear on how to install the small inboard doors for the main landing gear.

Good kit with lots of interior detail
I was amazed at how much interior detail this model had, not only the cockpit but the bomb bay and gunner positions as well. The decals were great. I built the "hairy beast" version and was apprehensive that I would not be able to get the decals on the nose properly, but I had no problems.The only downside was getting the model to properly stand on its landing gear. I had trouble doing this even using the bomb bay ladder for support. With the interior detail, there was no room to add weight to the nose. I had to glue a piece of clear plastic sprue under one of the main gear wheels to get it to balance properly.

Great Kit for a Fantastic Price
The new Airfix has produced some fantastic kits, this is one more in that line. It replaces an older kit from the 1970s.Detail is great including the only proper shaped co-pilot seat in this scale. Fit on the new kit is first rate and assembly so far has been straight forward.

Photo is for a different version of the P51-D, but still good.
The product photo is for model no. A02047, while the actual product no. listed and sent was A02047A, so I understand the confusion since the difference is one "A" tacked on to the end. I believe the plastic model itself is the same, but the decals and paint scheme is different. The product description has the correct paint schemes listed. Still a good little model and is great for beginner or someone who wants a quick build.

Fantastic model
This has to be one of my favourite kits, it went together really well and I'm going to buy another one to make with the wings folded.

This is the post-war F-51D Mustang and its a very neat kit, theres a choice of decals, either South Korean Air Force or Kentucky Air National Guard which is what i have bought it for in order to make
