Penn-Plax Aquarium Super Tank Divider

Easy to cut and install. Handy feature for separating fish.

Bit flimsy prob could of made a better one for cheaper but did the job for the week to seperate the tank up.

After about 3 months these just start to dissolve and disintegrate. Woke up this morning to find two of my male bettas in the same section, ripping chunks off each other's fins and a huge hole in the divider. When I tried to remove the broken divider it just crumbled like wet tissue paper.Checked my other tanks and the dividers in all of them have the same problem. What a waste of money and has left me with injured fish. I'm lucky that none of my fish were killed due to this.

Good idea, rubbish product. After a few months the screen disintegrated allowing my Siamese Fighter to squeeze through a hole and fight with the fish on the other side. Both fish have had most of their tail fins shredded, but fortunately no fatalities. This has happened with both the dividers I purchased. I would not recommend this product.

i chose five stars because i really needed a divider and it came on the day that it said it is very handy to keep my big fish away from the small fish.

Good produce but does not let the filtration flow through the holes. I had to re pierce 1000 so the water and heat would flow through the divider

None of my fish are getting along lol they’re all nipping each other’s fins and I had to do something quick. This is installed on my 55 gallon aquarium. I currently have two different dividers on. On the left side I have the penn plax divider and on the right side I’m using the top fin divider (from PetSmart.) I think the penn plax divider is sturdier and covers the sides better. Small fish like neon tetras May still pass through so be careful. Also if you don’t have gravel or a substrate don’t bother this divider is a bit short and you need some gravel to properly anchor the bottom. I’m very happy with my purchase :)

I purchased the 29-55 gallon for my brand new 20 gallon tank, I am so happy I purchased the bigger one for my tank!! it fits perfect width wise but was a bit too long. I ended up cutting the blue plastic pieces with a jigsaw to fit my tank. My fish tank is 24 inches long, 12 inches wide and 16 inches high.

It might work well for temporary use, such as for breeding. But if you want to separate an agressive fish or other more permanent aquarium division, in my case it did not work as the net degraded enough in one spot to allow the fish to pass through after 'just' 8-9 months.

The package was wrapped up in bubble tape. When I removed the wrap, the package was already torn open and retaped. My invoice was folded up on the side and stated "New". The side of the package was crushed and already opened. I emptied the box to see that the 2 small blue bars for the top and bottom were missing. So, not sturdy since the parts were not all there to be used. The package was crushed, which could be from the mail carrier, BUT, the box was resealed from where it was previously torn open.. that wasn't from the mail carrier. I would not rate this mess if I had a way not to. I put in for a return within 2 minutes of opening this defective package. Their version of what they consider "New" needs to be revaluated. Will not buy again.
