I used double ball as, an extension for phone mount on motorcycle, lifts above large tank bag. Seem's sturdy another.

A load of balls.
Very well made, locks down very tight with the double ram arm. I already had a case for my satnav with a socket fitting and a 1" ball on my motorbike so I bought the double ended ball with a socket arm to bring satnav closer and higher. Swings in any direction and works well.Deducted 1 star for all Ram products being very pricey. Put in Ram UK Distributors on the net.
