Plantronics Calisto P620-M Wireless Bluetooth UC Speakerphone

I have been using this speaker phone for quite a while now. I use it in conjunction with Skype for Business for conference calls at work. But it works equally as well for the standard version of Skype. It comes with a nice travel case and the Bluetooth dongle that is needed to connect it to a computer. I also have it paired with my phone. And it works very well indeed. As I spend so much time on calls, it has been a vast improvement for me to be totally handsfree and without the need to have uncomfortable headphones on all the time. The sound quality is great both for me and the person at the other end. It feels much more like you are having a proper conversation (they might as well be in the room with you). I have also used it in meetings as a conference phone for a few people and everyone can be heard within a reasonable distance. Some of my colleagues use a USB connected speaker phone, but this is much more flexible and the call quality seems to be better. It integrates well with Skype for Business. For example if I am on my phone that is connected to the speak phone, my status in Skype changes to in a call.....whether I am using the speak or just speaking on my phone. The battery life is also very good. Even with a lot of use, I only need to charge it every few days. I would certainly recommend this. It isn't cheap, but I still believe it is good value.

Don't be fooled by this unassuming little black box.Beneath it's slightly boring exterior lays a sophisticated and quite loud (as compared to others I've tried) speakerphone, with great tone as both a speaker and phone. That you can take anywhere.As a paired bluetooth unit to my iPhone 6+ it lacked some of the frills like on device battery monitoring, but more than makes up for this by just being a rock solid reliable bit of kit.It also works well with Skype.I have other mobile bluetooth speakerphones, but this is the one I carry in my work bag,

Very good device for conference calls, especially with Skype. I've been using this instead of my deskphone and find the quality far superior.The device comes with its own bluethooth dongle, which it works very well with. It will also work with other bluethooth devices, and in fact happily connects to more than one device at a time.Good battery life, great quality.

When switching from laptop sound to this Plantronic unit I loose sound for a short time which isn't ideal. I think a cable connection would be simpler and easier

This is a fantastic device for Skype calls. Actually I use it for calling from my mobile phone as well as it connects to several devices at the same time so I can use it for Skype and also for phone calls. It works extremely well and means that I no longer need to wear headphones to have a video conference. I keep trying to persuade my colleagues to invest in one of these as it would improve everyone's experience if they were use one of these too.This device cuts off the speakers when I am speaking which means that there is no feedback or echo problems on the call (at least not from my end!) I can't recommend this highly enough.Anyone who wants to make IP calls should have one of these.

Fabulous solution for conference calls when the only phone available is a mobile or a laptop. Pairs to different blue tooth devices so works as a portable set of speakers, also. No issues pairing it with devices, or using it. Good battery life.

Poor sounds quality on mic

Very disappointed with the mic quality. I spend a lot of time on skype conference calls so thought I would invest in a decent quality box. Sitting at my desk less than 12-inchs (30cm) from the box and colleagues constantly complain that they cannot here me - switch back to the PC inbuilt mic and speakers and they say - much better thanks. Also the rechargeable battery life is only a few hours - not enough for a days work. Also continually drops the bluetooth connection - 2 or 3 time a day.On the plus side the actual speaker quality is very good and also the unit looks good. If you are thinking of buying one let me know - I have a second hand unit sitting in the cupboard that I never use :)
