Surprisingly a hit!
My sister told me to buy this for my 1 year old and despite my initial thoughts she would not be interested as it's only 4 pages long as was captivated by each page (especially while I was acting out what was happening) so this gets 5 stars from me. I'm looking forward to when she can start acting the motions out herself

A big hit with toddler!
I ordered this book as I'd read a raving review about it. Let's just say I was a bit disappointed when I read it the night before reading it to my 2.5 year old toddler.. I remember thinking 'Is this it??' I expected it to be a bit longer than 4 measly pages. HOWEVER, baby LOVED it and we read it over and over again at bedtime. She wants to know why the babies are playing in the mud, why they're having a bath, why the father is holding the soap, why the mother is brushing their hair, why etc etc etc.. She's learned the whole book off by heart (it is only 4 pages long) and insists that i 'tickle' her BOTH under the chin AND under the armpit.. just like in the book. I'm quite impressed that she can say 'squelch'-it seems like such a difficult word to say! Just goes to show that just because I don't like a book doesn't mean a toddler won't like it either! Bravo!

Delighting my one-year olds
A friend recommended me this book, and I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed when I first received it. But my twin one-year olds completely LOVE it. So much so, that one of the first words they have learnt to say is "tickle". They clearly identify with the babies in the pictures and try and immitate what they are doing. We wondered for a while why one of them kept grabbing her clothes when she reached for ths book, until we looked more carefully at the front cover! They now have a different action for each of the four pages - for example, on the "gently gently brush your hair" page, they both instantly put their hands to their heads and comb through their hair. The baby on the last page is lying down, which makes it a great bedtime book.

Enjoyed
My toddler enjoyed this from about 12 months to about 2 years. It’s very simple. The Mum changes and randomly there are 4 babies on one page but three on the others. Only a couple of words.I’m not sure what the appeal was but it was very much enjoyed. Not been picked up a while now.

Fantastic
I highly recommend this book...We started reading this to my son at 4 months old and he loved it then and continues to love it. It has an easy rhyme so children can remember it, no matter what age. The pictures are wonderful, and the children drawn in the story are from all nations, Africa, Asia and Europe so an absolutely brilliant feature for children.Buy this book for your children or someone else's children as it will be thoroughly enjoyed.

Babies’ own favourite
I love this book. Both of my children have enjoyed it, learning actions and sounds before they could talk. They have searched it out to read, and it’s become a part of their babyhood.

Perfect for bedtime
Gorgeous illustrations and catchy text, it's a hit at bedtime with my one year old. It's just the right length for his attention span, and he enjoys copying what the babies in the book are up to. It's grand and sturdy too to stand up to having its pages turned by his little hands.
