Really nice and easy little set. I've just started getting back into it and this was outstanding value for money.

I haven't built Airfix models for years, but recovering from a hip-replacement gave me an excuse to sit down and do something to pass the time. I've also built the 'partner' kit of the Mk 1 Spitfire, and living as close to the old RAF Warmwell (that featured heavily in The Battle of Britain) as I do, I've been able to adapt the decals to feature squadron markings that would have been seen locally on 13th July 1940! Very much enjoyed building and painting this model - some of it was a bit fiddly (1/72 scale is actually a bit too small!) but the new tooling of this model means that the detail is phenomenal. Everything fitted together remarkably well, and I'm actually very pleased with the finished model, which will eventually become part of a Warmwell diorama.

Kit was well packaged and came fast next day kit was complete and looks too all be there it is a shame I got this kit so I would have everything included ie paint and brush glue ect the shame is the paints was all dry and unusable so will have too replace by having to buy it separately

It's been maybe 30 years since I've assembled an airfix model. I remember it fondly. I decided to try something again all these years later and alls I can say is I plan to do more. It was a very therapeutic way to avoid the kids whilst we're in lockdown!It comes with everything you need as it's a starter set. Paints, glue, paint brush and decals. I did have some sharp snips for removing them from the spuce/frame.For my next build I've got some precision applicator glue, more brushes, different tweezers, file, a scalpel like craft knife and a mat/pad to save the table and to make life easier. It's all optional though.I haven't built enough to talk about accuracy, build quality etc. For me and for the price it was absolutely fine. It is smaller than I remember and can be fiddly so patience is a plus for the smallest pieces.I feel it will be good for casual modellers. These days there is YouTube to turn to for build advice as well. Something we never had. I think everything was assembled before we painted it and I dont ever remember adding decals when I was a kid! Live and learn.

Nice starter kit but wouldn't buy again as 2 of the 4 paints were dried out. Would suggest buying the standard kit and buying the paints separately so that you know you're getting your money's worth.

Arrived the next day. As a relatively seasoned modeller this build was not especially difficult but I love the final result. The tooling was very impressive and it offers a good amount of detail. The included paint, brush and glue was adequate for completing the model, the only additional piece of equipment I used was a sharp modelling knife. It took around 6-7 hours to fully complete.

I loved this. It was delivered to me before their estimated delivery time and the tools in the starter kit were great, however I do have a few tiny issues with it.The cockpit should not be too tricky to do. All you really need is 3-4 pieces; the seat, the pilot, the control panel and the door, not extra pieces to make the interior to stick together to be even trickier.If mine broke I would buy this again as I had difficult building the spitfire which I have aswel written a review

This kit actually surprised me, I wasn’t intending to buy it because of the expensive price but I’m really glad I did. The new tooling really pays off as the pieces fit together very well in my opinion. Paints that you need are all included to make at least a decent kit. Would recommend to mainly new beginners into the hobby and experienced alike for a step back to the beginner levels. The price is a bit highly but definitely worth it.

Die einzelnen Teile, die sehr detailliert sind, passen "wie die Faust aufs Auge", kaum abschleifen und kaum in Form quetschen sind nötig.Das Plastik von Airfix ist mit Acrylfarben etwas aufwändiger zu bemalen, aber mit Verwendung eines Primers, was man üblicherweise tut, ist es kein Problem

Nous avons commandé cette maquette pour notre fils de 9 ans. Nous sommes très satisfaits, il aime beaucoup la construire. Les pièces sont cependant petites pour certaines, l'enfant doit être assez minutieux. Nous sommes contents de la colle et de la peinture fournies.
