Vina Electric Automatic Salt and Pepper Grinder Set, Battery Operated, LED Light and Adjustable Ceramic, Stainless Steel and Bamboo Body Pepper Mill with Stand, Pack of 2

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I purchased this set. I would not recommend this set. The Pro is that it is a very sleek and attractive item on your counter. But, for me, that is where the pros stop. Even though the grind is adjustable, I found no matter how you adjusted the grind, it wasn't grinding much and spit out large chunks of salt and pepper. The lock to keep the lid over the battery and motor housing is not very secure and often from the vibration of the motor, would unlock and the bottom half would fall off into the food while grinding. Soon after, when the lid was on, it would not grind. If you took the lid off, it would grind, but then the batteries were exposed and could potentially fall out into your food. After about two months, the turning mechanism stopped turning the grinder and started instead turning the motor/battery housing section. In order to get it to grind, you had to take the cover off and press the button while keeping the batteries gripped in place. Soon, this too wasn't working and it would turn the top portion which in turn caused the plastic housing to crack and break and then completely stopped functioning. I would like to note that when I received the box, it came only with very limited instructions on a slip of paper. There was no manual or warranty information included with information to contact for a replacement or repair.

The media could not be loaded.  Salt grinder works well but the pepper mill fails miserably. There is not enough torque in the little motor to turn the grinder and actually grind the peppercorns. They all get stuck in the mill because the grinder can't grind them. The mill just goes back and forth trying to turn but won't make it all the way around due to the resistance of the pepper. I have checked/changed the batteries and all the other parts I can access. Now I only have half of this set working on my counter. I am very disappointed.

Do what I did not do and listen to the reviews!! One grinder arrived with the top button broken completely off, but I thought this was something I could fix. Once I put the batteries in both grinders, while one grinder worked great the other motor did not turn at all. I made sure that I was not over filling them and even tried it without anything in the grinder to grind, still nothing. The only pro to this set is that the bamboo nice and would have went with my kitchen decor perfectly. But this set is getting taken to UPS to return today.

These look beautiful and the holder is wonderful. However, buyer beware. Our units started failing about 30 days after 1st usage. The contacts that meet with the battery pack pushed into the housing causing intermittent operation. The grinder function was sporadic and many times got full size grinds dropping out. This is in spite of making the proper adjustment per the manufacturer. In addition the LED light fell. Thank goodness, I found it and did not eat it. I tried to find what the warranty was from the supplier and no luck. I will call Amazon and make my complaint but doubt if I will get my money back.

My pepper grinder does not actually grind up the peppercorns. The salt grinder has the same issue. I basically need to put already ground up spices in them to even use them. Super disappointed. They look great in my kitchen. And my lights do work. But I have given up trying to use them while cooking or on my food.

Nothing makes you feel classier than having a lighted electric salt grinder. Haha! I love these, as I have arthritis in my hands that makes the pepper mill a big foe of mine, even though I LOVE fresh cracked pepper. I promised my husband that if we bought this, I'd make biscuits and gravy more often. It's true, I do.

These are so wonderful. The LED light is an added bonus that you don't normally get with other brands/styles of auto-grinders.The salt does come out a little heavy/quick, so I will need to mess with it to see if I can alter how fast it comes outI use these everyday!

I purchased these in Oct. 17, in February 2018 the LED light in the Salt Shaker quit working. I contacted the company and they immediately sent out a new one. "Great Customer Service" My wife and I really like the product. I would purchase again and recommend to any customer.
