Can this be used as a preventative and given to rabbit when its fine?

Absolutely! On the side of the tub, I think it said about 'no contraindications.' Plus, on the 'Protexin' website, it says "Given daily, it can help promote efficient digestion and avoid the problems associated with insufficient dietary fibre." A vet also recommended 'Excel Dualcare,' which I found to be just as good/effective as Protexin pellets - at a much cheaper price.

Hi, can this also be given to guinea pigs?

Yes, we give a scoop to our two, once every two days, since one of them had colic a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if it's helped regulate their digestive systems, but they've both been fine since and they love the stuff. They go crazy every time they get some.

I have been sent this question by Amazon and to be honest I have no idea? I have 6 rabbits and I know that it stops gut statis and if I had not found out about it my rabbits would have died. I buy it nearly every month and I sprinkle it on their food when they need it. They love it.
