Q: Will it work for a 13 gallon trash can?

I don't know the diameter of a 13 gallon trash can but I use these bands on a trash can that is a foot in diameter and it appears it would stretch to 14 or 15 inches in diameter. Hope that helps you

Probably not. They were very "taught" bands that had little stretch to them. I wanted them for a rubber band rifle and they wouldn't stretch that long without a great deal of effort.
