Do not skip this product. This makes the relaxer glide like butter through your hair so you are using less product. It stops the hair from damage and it protects the scalp from any sort of pain. I felt absolutely nothing at all and my hair relaxed so beautifully and tangle free. This protecto is a 10 star product.

Bon produit je l'ai utilisé pour protéger mes cheveux lors de mon premier defrigage en 6 ans et j'aime beaucoup le rendu. Mes cheveux sont restés epais et ne sont pas du tout cassants. J'ai gardé mon volume.

The product has a good reputation but It would be most helpful to tell consumers that the neutralizing shampoo is sold separately and is not in the kit as well as the reconstructing conditioner. I planed to use the product and realized that I couldn't and would 1st have to order the 2 other products mentioned above.

You need to have this one to complete the Affirm kit. If you are like me and want a professional relaxer done from the convenience of your home, then trust me, get the complete kit starting with the protector.
