This machine is great. Considering the price, it's really great.The cutter and laser both work as well as I could hope.The materials pack is a large variety, but I would recommend skipping it. The odds you're going to want all that stuff is low, and you can pick up the parts you do want separately for less.It's a little annoying removing the base plate to engrave taller objects on the riser blocks. You have to remove screws and carefully lift the base out. But it's not the end of the world. You also lose the safety of having a full enclosure when you use that feature, so make sure you're buying some safety goggles.My only real complaint about the system as designed is that it's difficult to find information about it online. There are a lot of copy/pasted reviews and articles that seem like paid placement and annoying videos where there should be docs and a forum or subreddit. That'll make it a little harder for a beginner to do things beyond the cookie-cutter example projects. But it's not the end of the world.This would be a five star review, except....My first one came with a cracked housing. When you buy a laser with a safety enclosure you don't want a crack in the safety enclosure. And it was very clearly a manufacturing defect.It's a 24-hour response round trip with them because the support team is in Asia. Which is fine, but after a week of back and forths where they were offering me accessories worth tens of dollars if I would just tape over the crack and keep the machine, I ended up returning it to Amazon for a replacement. The replacement is perfect - and I think they changed the design slightly to prevent the crack I had in the first one. There is a support rib there now that the original didn't have.The interactions with support left a lot to be desired. So this is a four star review. Once you cross into the four-digit price territory, the support expectations are higher. Especially when I was trying to save them the cost of a full return and replacement process. They could have sent me a part, or made a repair worth my while. I hope the other one didn't end up in a landfill somewhere....

This machine is awesome! Customer Service is great. If you are wondering if this machine is worth the money I say yes. Please invest In The bundle package. I have yet to purchase something for the fumes. The hose is out the window which works for now . I Had a small issue in the beginning and customer service handled it immediately. This has been one of my best purchases on Amazon. This was an updated review after trying out and learning the many things xtool m1 can do. I’m so excited to review this item. It does so many things like Engraving , cutting and there are endless possibilities for gifts and much more.

wow. when it comes to affordability this product is the perfect hybrid cutter/laser that has enabled me to expand my creativity even farther. first, the box arrived and was beautifully packaged, i was inspired just looking at all the pretty projects on the box. haha. I purchased the complete kit so it contained everything I needed to start creating right out of the box. the unit took about 30 minutes from unboxing to startup. and that included my husband cutting me a wooden widow device to hold my exhaust tube in place so I didnt have to hang it out a window. follow the instructions for set up and you will need to install the xtool software on your laptop/desktop, if you are a crafter that uses the cricut type cutting machines youll like that the software is similar to design space therefore you shouldnt fumble around the software. there are community projects that you can download and there are projects on the xtool software so you can create immediately. if you plan on using the RA2 cylindrical unit I would suggest purchasing the riser box as did I. I didnt care for the riser legs that were included in the package and wanted a more enclosed safe space as I do have a curious first grader, best to be safe. but I'll leave that review for the actual product, just mentioning it here. also, if you should have any problems or questions the Xtool company is very happy to help. they reached out to me about a week after purchase to check on how I was doing with the product and addressed any of the questions I had. I strongly recommend this product. easy to use, comes with everything needed to begin creating, great customer service and affordable device.

I purchased the xTool M1 back in December of 2022. I was really impressed until it lost power three weeks ago. I have been playing phone and email tag with "customer support" ever since... and STILL without a resolution!!!Be sure to purchase the extended warranty and save a copy of the purchase!!!
