Evoking a proud industrial past and putting new life into salvaged scaffold board, the Baird TV Bench features two shelves constructed from edge banded, spruce scaffold board mounted on four castors, two of which are lockable for easy positioning. No two reclaimed boards are alike and are variously weathered, gnarled, twisted, cupped, scratched, cracked, dented, holed and paint stained. Optionally, wax can be applied to preserve, darken and enhance the wood's naturally occurring dyes and provide a protective barrier that repels moisture, but allows the wood to breathe and continue to weather naturally.
