I am in love with these shorts! I am 5'5", 170 lbs, usually size 10 in jeans. Bought the 10-12 size and when I held them up I was disappointed because they looked way too small and I thought they wouldn't fit.I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and tried them on.Girl! They fit like a glove!! The stretch these have makes them AMAZING! I am in love with them and immediately went back to order them in every color. Buy them. You will love them! Super fashionable, modest, and the perfect "cool mom" shorts!

Talk about a risk ordering shorts from Amazon, but what a great payoff! I'm a curvey size10 (sometimes 12 depending on brand) who has to have stretch foe things to fit right. I ordered the 8/10s and they're perfect. Just enough stretch to shape and move with you. Very flattering. I only wish they came in a solid dark wash and were just a hair longer length wise because I'd order more pairs. Definatly the gamble, get them!!

Shorts are very stretchy, and comfortable. True to size and as described!They could be worn as high rise or mid rise, in my opinion. In this same sense, they can be mid thigh, or thigh in length…I am a thick girl, with thick thighs. Shorts are not usually my thing because of this. I am not comfortable in them, and try to avoid anything that will cause these hams to try to start a campfire! But, I was going on vacation, and the reviews for these shorts were screaming to buy them, so I did!Initially, when trying them on, I pulled them up with the crotch “in place”, which put the waistband in a high rise position. There was no coverage on my thighs with this fit, and as comfortable as it all felt standing in front of the mirror. I knew, 10 ft down the boardwalk like this, children would be roasting s’mores behind me as I walked!Because of the stretch in the material, I could pull the legs down a bit, which covered my thighs, and created more of a mid rise waistband. This, to, was very comfortable standing in front of the mirror. But, as I walked around, and moved normally, the shorts shifted and needed adjusted frequently.I chose to keep these shorts, because I’m terrible at returning items, and might just wear them at some point. But I personally felt like they were too much work for me. If you are normally comfortable in shorts, they might just be perfect for you though, if that makes sense?!?!P.S. I just realized, this account is in my husbands name LOL These were bought, worn, and reviewed by a female!
