Thumbsup! Mini DV Camera

I bought this little camera for security monitoring. When I first received it, I plugged it into my computer UBS socket in order to charge it. I inserted an 8 gb micro card (runs for about 24 Hrs) and it worked like a charm. Very good resolution. The instructions are written in Chinglish, but decipherable. I found that the operating light was on all the time, so I stuck a little electrical tape over it, and voilà, it was good to go. Great value, can’t be more pleased. I would certainly recommend this to a friend. I have given it 5 stars, because I can't fault it.

I bought two and although fiddly to use and confusing at times, they seemed to work more or less as needed. However, after a period of time I found they inexplicably stopped being recognized by my laptop and computer. What to do?

very well priced but no zoom and when filming in environments with not much light or in the evening the quality of the image is poor. Bare in mind that you need to order a memory card to make it work (it doesn't come with it !) and you can only insert up to a 16 gb mem. c.

very pleased with this camera,,,,i use it for constant monitoring, swich on ..press the voice activation and plug in to a usb charger ,,with a 10gb micro card this will monitor for 24 to 36 hours depending on noise activityi have this peeping through a small hole drilled in a steel container,,,and have no problems with the weathermake sure you are buying a genuine Thumbs up model as their are cheaper versions on the market

Arrived with a fault. Although the packaging was secure, and arrived on time, a tiny screw was missing from the four that would secure the two halves of the casing. This, alone, would not have affected the performance. The camera was completely out of focus, and unusable. No reflection on the seller, the camera was in a plastic sealed packet, and it would not be possible to know the working condition without breaking it open. The seller would get five stars, but the product, which was beyond his/her control, none.Unfortunate for the manufacturer, as this must have slipped through quality control.

I bought this for my husband's birthday and at first he was disappointed because we couldn't make it work but that was because we used an 8gb sd card. As soon as we tried the 2gb it worked a treat. The company which supplied the item were extremely helpful and gave us lots of support and advice.

Camera arrived in time stated, charged camera, after disconnecting charger camera wouldn't switch on, power button did nothing. The instruction manual is next to useless, I was going to return the camera but because it was cheap I opened up the casing and managed to repair the power button. The camera now works but how well or for how long is anyones guess.

It doesnt seem to have the correct info in the manual, but works ok.(the resolution is higher than stated in the manual, and the LEDs seem to change colour randomly, not quite as specified)nice quality stills, and nice clear video as well.i have this mounted to my RC helicopter for taking aerial video, seems to be pretty good for the price.It doesn't like dark conditions very much, but is better than a lot of mobile phone cameras.Setting the time seems to be a problem on a lot of these little cameras, but this one comes with a program on the CD that writes the time to the device from your PC.also comes with an impressive amount of bits to fix it to things.

In opening the package I observed that I had all of the attachments, but no SD card. When I reviewed videos on youtube abiut this product also I seen a DVD suppose to be sent as well. My questions to you is, where is my SD Card and was I suppose to receive a DVD as well?

Artikel aus Neugier dem Spieltrieb folgend hier leider viel zu teuer gekauft. Zu spät gesehen, dass man ihn unter MD80 über Amazon schon ab € 9,30 kaufen kann - mein Fehler! Zum Gerät: Es ist eine Mini-Videokamera mit Zubehör, die auch als Web-Cam einsetzbar sein soll. Vorm Einsatz muß der Akku per USB-Kabel (dabei) mehrere Std. geladen werden. Dann funktioniert sie und liefert relativ brauchbare Videos mit Datum und Uhrzeit im Bild von minderer Qualität! Probleme ergeben sich aus der kleingedr. engl. Bed.Anltg. Im Internet gibt es brauchbare in Deutsch. Die Micro-SD muß mit Kontakten nach vorn und oben in den oberen Teil des Kartenschlitzes eingeführt werden! Mangels Display kein gezieltes Fokussieren möglich (Überraschungsvideos)! Könnte man für Drohnen/Spielzeuge u.ä., ggf. als Dash-Camera im PKW nutzen. SD-Card über USB-PC-Anschl. bearbeitbar, Dort wird das akt. Datum eingegeben, kann nicht total gelöscht werden!Die Micro-SD-Karte und CD fehlten bei Lieferung (sieht nach Klau aus!) und wurde von mir reklamiert. Auf das Ergebnis warte ich noch. Betrieb erfolgte mit vorhandener 16-GB-Karte. CD wird wohl nur für Web-Cam-Betrieb benötigt. Mitgel. Netzteil wäre nur mit Steckeradapter (nicht dabei) brauchbar. Laden geht aber per USB-Kabel. Zubehör zum Anklemmen/Hinstellen, ist einsetzbar (ist aber ohne Schrauben/Klebepads). Gut dabei ist die Hals-/Handschlaufe (hilft auch gegen leichtes Verlieren!). Facit: Neugier/Spieltrieb weitgehend befriedigt - funktioniert, sehr eingeschränkt brauchbar und zu teuer (siehe oben) und nur insoweit begrenzt empfehlbar!Nachträgliche Ideen zur besseren Fokussierung; 1. Klammer am Zubehörhalter umdrehen, so daß sie nach oben (zum Kamerakopf) zeigt, damit dort dann etwas eingeklemmt werden kann (geht einwandfrei!) 2. Papp-/Plastikschablone (ca. entspr. den Kameraformaten)fertigen und in diese eine kleine 4:3-Öffnung als 'Sucher' schneiden, dann so einklemmen, daß die Sucheröffnung unten ca. mit dem Kamerakopf abschließt, dabei möglichst auf rechtwinkliges Einklemmen achten! Fokussieren dann vornehmen, indem man durch den Ersatzsucher wie bei einer Sucherkamera schaut. Etwas teurer geht es ggf. mit dem Einklemmen (Vorrichtung basteln!)eines Stift-Laserzeigers, der möglichst parallel zur Optik strahlen sollte (vorm Filmen natürlich abschalten).
