Can you use this to check oven temperature without using the probe? I make a lot of cakes and need accuracy but there's nowhere to put a probe.

What is the animal by the cow

On the dial are pictures of animals to guide cooking which I think is just a gimmick really! We can’t identify one of the animals. There’s Cow, sheep, pig, chicken and….. he said to me “is it dog?” I hope not…. “Maybe horse” ohhh noooo - I’m wondering it may be a Deer… however that being an amusing feature, it does work and appears accurate.

Got it for my mum as she needed one for baking breads. Definitely works well and she’s pleased with it. Shows accurate temperatures of the oven as well as food when you stick it in.
