Based on the Hi-Tec Legend - Silver Shadow, the Spirit is the latest addition to the range. Featuring a suede top, with nylon mesh panels that promote durability, breathability and comfort. The soft cast EVA midsole provides long-lasting cushioning and comfort. Featuring a TPU heel counter and a rubber outsole that provides stability, traction and durability. Review: Best quality in best price Comfortable, supportive and ideal for badminton - I bought these mainly for badminton and I’m really happy with them. They are lightweight, comfortable, and give very good grip on indoor courts, which helps a lot with quick movements and direction changes. The fit is good and they feel stable during play. They also look nice and seem well made. Great value for money I would definitely recommend them for badminton or other indoor sports. Review: The original squash shoe, and still the best. Also good for a range of other sports. - In the 70s, Hi-Tec created a trainer made specifically for playing squash. It was the first such shoe to be designed for the sport and, more that forty years later, it is still being sold. According to their website, Hi-Tec have sold over 17 million of these trainers, and still going strong. Hi-Tec is no longer a name that is synonymous with premium quality. They have the budget end of the market covered, but their marque is considered by many to be less than first-rate. However, when it comes to a good quality squash shoe, you can’t really get better than this simple, tried and tested design. The sole of the shoe is flat. Unlike a running a shoe, there is no arch support, no torsion bars and no anti-pronation devices. This is because, in the game of squash, you may want to quickly change direction. These additions to your typical sports shoe are likely to impede your ability to do so, and can even cause injury to a fast-moving raqueteer. The grip of these shoes is good. The gum rubber sole doesn’t provide too much grip, but gives just enough to stop you skidding around without stopping you from moving quickly from one part of the court to another. I have also used this shoe for fencing which, like squash, features a lot of lunging. Whereas specialist fencing shoes are very expensive, these are not. Because of the metal piste (playing area), a fencer can burn through trainers like anything, making these squash shoes a popular alternative. I wouldn’t wear these shoes out as they make a fairly poor fashion statement, but for playing squash they are great. As noted above and by many other reviewers, they are also excellent for a range of other sports, from badminton to cycling, making them an excellent, inexpensive and comfortable addition to many a sports bag.

Not quite right!
I am a little disappointed! The shoes received are different to the ones I selected in the listing - with suede and PU leather uppers - rather than the all leather/suede uppers as advertised. That's poor. That said, they are reasonably well made and comfortable, despite a lack of arch support. I have quite wide feet but there is plenty of room for my toes etc. I usually take a mens size 12 but, as usual with sports shoes, I ordered a size larger. With thicker sports socks, that's fine. I use them when playing badminton and as comfy shoes around the house and garden. Time will tell, but thus far, they have stood up to my abuse very well. As such, they seem to be good value for money.

Comfortable and look to be well made. They fit as advertised which is good. I been using them for years for sport and just to walk in generally. Good grip and comfortable. Look good and worth the money.

Classic
A classic shoe that's been around for decades speaks of their functionality and looks. I never had a pair in the 80s but knew people who swore by them, so when looking at the myriad of shoes available I was confident in buying these. I saw a review saying that they were smaller than the normal sizes and advised going a couple of sizes higher, but if that was the case I would have expected to see other reviews saying something similar. It remained at the back of my mind but in the end I just went a half size bigger as I'd recently tried on a different pair of trainers and found my usual size too small. They are a bit of a narrow fit, but they're still comfy enough and I expect they'll adjust to my feet a little with use. I'm happy with these, and one of my cats is particularly happy with the laces which keep her entertained.

Ok quality. They broke after not many uses.
They’re ok. Not super comfy but do a job. Mine did break after not many uses. You get what you pay for.

Schuhe fallen viel zu groß aus. Riesen Enttäuschung!

Confort bien inférieur à la version précédente. Moins aérée, chausse petit.

I actually bought two pair of these. The first pair that I ordered were size 14 and they are really big on my feet; but I just lace them up tight. So I ordered a second pair at size 13 and they fit perfectly. I need to order another pair of these as I love gum-sole athletic shoes. I don't play squash or racquetball any more but still like these shoes.
