Have been big admirer of Theo Jansen for many years. The little strandbeest brings his work not only to wider audience but also lets us experience his groundbreaking work in miniature setting. Great model, easy to put together, instructions quite poor but lots of fun! Looking forward to see more models.

This was a challenge to put together, although satisfying when finished to look at. It seems badly designed because the small cog wheels almost lock the crank shaft. I had to put the hair dryer on full to make it slowly move and that started to blow the sails off. They were only stuck on with sticky tape.

Not the easiest of instruction diagrams to follow but, after a few false starts, I got into the swing of it and finished in about an hour and a half. It is great fun to watch move and looks good on display. It is relatively fragile but well enough made for the money. Great talking point.

The media could not be loaded.  Really well made and engineered. Technical to make but a joy to watch it move. Bargain at this price.

A bit of care removing the odd bit of flashing from the moving parts, check as you go, Jolly good kit, recommended as is a beautiful contraption.

Fun to put together, the fan pieces don't stay on so well, but that can always be fixed with some extra tape.

Great product, my son really loved it as a Christmas gift. The Christmas post was a little slow, as usual, however the Vnfire customer service was excellent.

Arrived on time, it is for my son’s birthday, so not out of the box yet...tempting
