Clay Roberts Extendable Duster, Variable Cleaning Range, Machine Washable Head

Brilliant product! Works straight from the box to get rid of all the high level spiders webs that have accumulated over the summer. What I didn't realise from the product description is that it is bendy too, so gets into all sorts of nooks and crannies. Down the side of the fridge, under the sofa etc. Used mine so much (the house so needed it!) that I had to wash it. Red duster came off easily, popped it in the washing machine, came out good as new. The slightly grippy inside to the red mop head was a really well thought out touch. Makes the duster easy to remove but not so easy that it keeps falling off whenever you try and use it. All in all a great product at a great price

Pros: Easy to adjust the length. Very good for reaching tops of cupboards and behind radiators. Doesn't snag on tops of doors so no leaving fibres behind.Cons: I can be in the middle of using it when it will suddenly decide that it wants to bend it's head at a different angle.I can't comment on washing it in a machine as I haven't tried that yet.UPDATE After just under a year I have to deduct a star because the head of this thing has decided it will fall off whenever it feels like it rather than waiting to be asked. How rude is that? Yes I know I could stick it on permanently but that defeats the whole point of buying one where I could detach the head (when I wanted to) so I could throw it in my washing machine)

Well it's brilliant. I love well made products only, I brought an oxo duster but the fibres kept getting stuck in my chandelier and pulling open the fittings.I tried this one it's fantastic , made S o I can now dust everything without the tangled fibres spoiling my products . Well done , no static either . Also it is flexible enough to bend around corners ect.

Certainly a well made duster as there is some weight to it, my arm was actually aching a bit after going round the whole house. Did a good job of collecting dust and cobwebs (6 months of building work gave it a good workout!) Because it is quite large and sturdy its not really suitable for small delicate items or tight spaces, better for large flat areas, under cupboards, sofas etc. For smaller items I found the Astonish mini duster works well (but not the standard sized one which was very disappointing with a hard end that scratches and knocks things)

So I don’t quite understand how this product has such great reviews.I bought it to replace a different one I’ve misplaced and the difference is staggering.This product simply PUSHES the dust around. I can see it push straight into the air. Terrible.I’ve found the same version on amazon as the old one I had and purchased that now and have set a return on this one.I would have to vacuum my old one after each room it collected so much dust. I just did the whole house with this one and it looks brand new. 🙄Save your vacuum, allergies and your time by buying one that actually works.

I got this for those hard to reach places that would otherwise require me to fetch the ladder from under the stairs. It is a good quality product that does it's job as advertised.The "brush" itself is 18 inches in length and though slightly rigid, it does have some flexibility, which makes it ideal to clean where a little extra pressure is required, such as when inserting it into slim gaps between, say, a wardrobe and a dresser.The hand is sturdy and measures 24 inches (including the 4 inch plastic base of the brush), but also extends to 38 inches of handle (56 inches including the brush), with a simple twist of the handle. It also locks securely once you have your desired length. The brush head also unscrews from the handle so that you can wash it easily. I guess you can out this in the washing machine but probably not advisable, as the 4 inch plastic base of the brush may cause some damage to the washing machine drum.Recommended.

received the item - ordered because it said it was a bestseller - and the head did not even fit on the extendable pole. It was flopping everywhere, and fell off repeatedly and was useless to try and dust anything. I gave up in the end. I think the head is too heavy and long for the pole to be honest. I then found a lightweight long handled duster from a local shop that was far better.Because it was so cheap I felt it was not worth the bother of trying to return it but frankly I would have liked a refund. Just dreadful quality.

I hate dusting but I have a 10yr old. To earn some pocket money he does a few chores. Fair play since swapping dusters for this bad boy his efforts, which left a lot to be desired have improved significantly. Being able to shape it makes doing curtain rails and ceilings a doddle. Hats off folks it’s a nifty bit of kit.
