Great excersise for weak hands.

I damaged my wrist and found the stress balls on Amazon. I use them a few times in my day and for me they are great. I can sit down and use them or walk around whilst doing an exercise. One of the best things I bought, they help me enormously in getting the strength in my hand.

These exercise balls are fairy small fitting into the palm of my hand but the different resistance that each ball gives is really noticeable. The purple /pink ball is soft and I found that when I first started using them, to exercise for a tendonitis problem in my arm, the purple one was a great place to start as I just didn't have the strength in the arm to use the firmer blue one. The soft gel ball almost oozes between the fingers and compared to the hollow, cricket ball sized squeeze ball that my Physiotherapist offers, using these is a much more pleasurable experience. The gel moving around in the hand is almost therapeutic in itself. The blue/purple ball offers far more resistance and after a week of using the other it was easier to progress to the blue one but I don't think I could have managed going straight to this. The good thing about these is that the one my Physio. uses is the size of a cricket ball. Both of these fit nicely into my packed and I take them to work. They are small enough to be used sat at my desk without anybody even noticing that I am exercising with them. At my last physio session my Physiotherapist asked me to show him what I was using to improve the grip when I decline to use the cricket ball he had and he was impressed enough to with these to bring them to the attention to other members of staff who had nothing negative to say about them and told me to carry on using them. That was a seal of approval for me. I am not making any claims as to the benefits of using these over and above anything that a Physiotherapist or medical staff might offer but these have definitely helped my grip improve.

These are very good but would prefer 2 different sizes instead of softness. I prefer the harder ball (blue one) and would like a larger one like that too. I know most people prefer the pink.
