Q: Can you use this for small stainless steel work?

It works on stainless steel tattoo needles, but that is very small, hope that helps.

Q: do you need solder or will this tin on its own

No you will need solder and silver solder is the best as it heats up and flows better.

Q: It says for use with non lead solder but can i use this with actual lead solder?

Yes you can and many Plumbers do - just remember to use use Fernox Cleaner F3/F5 if you are using this on Central Heating System pipework to remove any residue(s). Also wear PPE as you MUST NOT get this spitting into your eyes nor rubbing your eyes if on hands... It is a great product and I've used it on Non Lead, Low Lead, 60/40 Lead and other alloy solders - very effective Flux.

A good quality flux like this makes the world of difference.

The difference in quality between this flux and a cheaper brand was night and day. Don't waste your time with an inferior product, seriously this is the one situation where you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

4 stars for good packaging, prompt delivery, low price and does the job. I would recoomend this ptoduct to others.I would like to give 4.5 stars but there is no facility for this. 5 stars would make you complacent!
