UPDATE: I’m keeping the original review below, but the option to update the firmware on each bulb was offered in the Globe app. Once updated, they stopped turning on by themselves and respond correctly to schedules and voice commands via my echo show. It’s now been 7 months since we first bought them and no other bulbs have had filaments go out like mentioned below. Must have been a dud.These turn on by themselves just a couple minutes after turning them off (whether via Globe app or Alexa command). We have to turn the wall switch off to keep the bulbs from turning on. I learned this the first night we installed them, unfortunately. They don’t turn on all at once, either. The first one turns itself on after 3-60 seconds and the other 5 (different fixtures) sprinkle on over the next 5 minutes. It’s annoying. None of the other wifi smart bulb brands we have do this, even on the same light fixture. However, it’s the only tunable white Edison smart bulb I was able to find so we’re working around the annoyance. If other brands made this, I would return them.One of the bulbs had it’s amber-white filament die today, just one week after installation. It started flickering and now won’t come on at all, not matter what I do in the app (pictured). The blue-white filaments in it are still working but I’ll be returning this one. Fingers crossed that the other 5 don’t do the same thing soon. It’s supposed to last 15 years at 3 hours a day. We’ll see.

These are super cool, the colors are an awesome bonus on top of the Temp/Brightness controls. I also like I can group the lights and control multiple bulbs as a set. There's just a few things I wish they'd improve:1) 750 Lumens isn't that bright. Even with 3 of them on max brightness, my living room still feels a bit dark. I'd really like to see a 1000+ Lumen version.2) The lowest brightness setting still feels a bit too bright, much higher than you'd get from dimming an incandescent or some other dimmable LEDs. Need to allow for much lower dimness for theater feel. I'd this can be fixed with a firmware update, please do!3) Not sure how accurate the color temps are. Their 2700K feels a bit oranger than other 2700K warm bulbs in the room, and 5000K less bright and blue than my kitchen lights. It's not a huge difference but enough to be a little annoying that doesn't match temp of existing non-smart bulbs.4) The app is fairly easy to use but has some frustrating issues. Brightness & Temp settings can only be adjusted with slider bars, which is incredibly annoying trying to set a precise value, especially when the slider jumps as you lift your finger off the screen. They need to have the sliders tied to an input box so you can optionally manually type in a specific number value. Also wouldn't hurt to have a setting to optionally allow snap to increment steps. Similarly the color wheel selector has issues with setting precise values and needs some way to manually type in a color value.Overall 3.5 stars so far but I'm rounding up to 4 since app issues could easily be addressed in an update.

App is a little buggy on my S10... but works fine. Actually quite entertaining.

I am currently moving to use these for my entire house. The price is awesome and is very easy to set up! This company has different bulbs for all the different lighting options in your house. Love that I can change the color and brightness based on my mood. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to make their home feel more like a smart home!

I asked my friend, who is an electrical Guru and has his own business, to install these. He worked for a couple of hours I'm trying to make these pair with my Google home app and was never successful. Pain went to the website and also read the directions but at this moment the job is not finished. We may try it again to see if we can get it to pair up with the light switch and with the Google app.

Setting up is easy. The color looks very high quality. The app is very responsive and the UI is well layed out. Connecting to Alexa is easy

I have other smart bulbs and I could have used the same control system with these bulbs. Their customer service is terrible and they didn’t refund my money for their lifetime membership, which by the way works terribly. The lights are beautiful though because the bulb be is clear.

Loin d'être mon premier produit "intelligent" de Globe, c'est certainement le plus simple à installer à date. Sortie de la boîte et installer en moins de 1 minutes avec l'aide de l'app. Vraiment bien et encore surpris de la simplicité. Il est "clair" que Globe a travaillé l'intégration de ses produits... enfin!

Worth the price

Very hesitant to buy this because I assumed it was going to be a pain to setup. But! The Globe app works super well on Android (truly surprising but I'll take it), bulb connected immediately after getting it into pairing mode (which was efficiently communicated to me in the app)Then paired up with Google Home and has stayed synced for a few days now.Customizable color/white temperature is very well done with some set points and then a custom color wheel to be able to pick a custom color/temperature.Very pleased so far!

It's a really nice looking bulb, and especially worth the extra cost for cases where you don't have a lampshade.Up close you can really see the individual colors, which is a nice effect of the Edison-style LED bulb.It sets up as easy as the other Globe smart bulbs.BUT...My only issue-- this does not reflect the product itself, and so I didn't account for this while rating it-- is that it came used! Or at least it was previously set up and named 🤦🏻‍♂️. Unfortunately I don't think these bulbs store the usage data (which would have been amazing in this case) so it may have been a quick return. Regardless, people should not sell used light bulbs. Check for this when you set it up if that concerns you.
