Purple look blue
My wife was so looking forward to receiving these for Christmas. Even though the pack said purple they were very blue not at all like the colour shown. Dissapointing.

Impossible to extract the LR44 batteries for replacements!
Bought my son a pair of the blue light-up sticks for Christmas 2016. He was delighted! Within a fortnight the lights on one became intermittent and I figured the 3 (temporary?) LR44 batteries required replacing. Here's where the problems started...I simply could not remove all 3 x LR44 batteries from the chamber - they are stuck in too tight! I tried repeatedly banging the end of the drumstick on a solid surface but, although the whole chamber (bulb and all) flew out, I still couldn't remove the last battery. Figuring two new LR44s might be sufficient, I replaced them and screwed the end back on. Now the bulb didn't work at all! probably damaged it trying to remove the batteries!I bought a brand new pair thinking I could keep one stick as a spare but, again, in less than a week, one stopped working. I repeated the attempt to replace the batteries with the same result! I now have one working stick from each set but fear the moment when their batteries run down!!!Very frustrating.

Smile when you bring them out.
Get this, these are not great drum sticks. They have a reverberating bounce to them. But, and it is a big but, it is hilarious to bring them out halfway through a gig, mid song as they are a little coup de theatre... funny, magical and fun. They really do look great, and if you can manage to keep a beat with them and not smash them to bits they add a bit of good old rock comedy. Smile when you bring them out, and make like the god of hellfire that you truly are.

Light Touch
Purchased these as a Christmas present for a drummer friend of mine as a bit of a fun novelty so I was a bit surprised to receive a call from him on boxing day saying how pleased he was with them.I really am not qualified to know if they are gig friendly or not ( being a lowly bass player ) but if his reaction is anything to go by then I may well see them flashing away behind me at our next gig together.Nice bit of fun and seem well made and delivered very promptly so cannot be faulted by me.Very Happy.

Lots of fun, really like these for a bit of fun
Lots of fun, really like these for a bit of fun. Not sure I'd recommend using them a *lot* (eg gigging with them) as they vibrate a bit which might cause discomfort after extended use. They're perfect for an occassional bit of fun though :-)

Great effect
The effect of the drumsticks is great on a dark stage. However as this is not wood, the feel is a little bit different, and you can't hit it like a hammer(it will break). They are also a bit heavy, but of course... they are not wood, so this is expected...I played in 3 gigs with it, at normal volumes, and they are excellent. This is not a stick for every song, as your arms will get tired after a while, but are great to give an extra effect in a song or two :-)

Great fun!
Packaging is very good and protects them well, though they are very solid and don't need any protection! They feel good in the hands and are little heavier than 'normal' drumstick but nothing to worry about.I bought these as christmas gift for my nephew but couldn't resist getting them out and giving them a try myself, they're great fun to use and to watch others drum with them too, turn the lights out and enjoy the show!

A good novelty buy
A Christmas present for an experienced grade 8 band player. These novelty drum sticks will be good to use when the lights are down. Light shoots up from the hand end to the tip when banged. Battery can be replaced when run down.
