Robust HD Dash Cam, however, WIFI app is no longer available on android
I have been pleased with this dash cam so far. The item came packaged well and feels built to last. This is further emphasised by the 1 year warranty provided with the product.I have never had a dash cam before, however, having been involved in a few incidents and owning a lease car, I thought it was best to purchase one. This dash cam comes with a detailed manual, adhesive cable clips, £M adhesive dash cam clip, 2 spare dash cam 3M adhesive, 2 different length USB cables and a handy dual USB slot car charger. They even provide a 'dash cam fitted' sticker that you can attach to the mirror of your vehicle to deter thiefs away.I like the fact the charging cables for the dash cam have a USB Type-A end so you don't need to use the 12V cigarette lighter port if you have USB slots in your vehicle. If you don't have USB ports, then the dual USB slot car charger provided means you can also charge your phone or other device. The adhesive cable clips provided help keep the setup in your vehicle neat and unobstructive to your day to day driving. The video quality of the dash cam is 1080P so is very clear. The dash cam's battey is very small so it won't last long without the charging cable attached. To save footage, you will require a micro SD card. The product has a very useful loop recording function which means you will never have a situation where your memory card is full, rather it will record over the older footage on the SD card. There is even a motion detection function so your dash cam only records once it senses movement near the vehicle. My biggest disappointment has to be the WIFI feature. I was looking forward to being able to connect to the dash cam wirelessly to download videos or view live recording, however, the app no longer exists on the android marketplace. I do feel this is false adverting and this shouldn't be advertised as a selling feature if it has been discontinued. This dash cam is a reasonable size so isn't one that is supposed to be hidden on your vehicle, rather it is to deter people away as they can see you have a dash cam fitted. It has a screen fitted so you can see what the camera is recording, however this can be switched off to avoid the distraction. The screen is very useful as it allows you to view footage on it, rather than having to take the SD card out and viewing it on a laptop.Time will tell how good this dash cam is, but for the time being I am pleased with this purchase. I am however disappointed the app is no longer available.

Great Product
This is my first purchase of a DashCam and I found the installation very easy. I bought the GPS version so it records both the longitude and latitude of my location plus the speed. Setup was a breeze, it took 5 mins to run lengthy USB cable from the top of my window along the passenger side along to the centre console where they provide you with a 2 USB lighter converter. Plug it in and immediately it sprung into action. You will require a MicroSD card to save your recordings, luckily I have a few lying around so after popping it in the side the Cam instantly started recording. The manual is good however you wont need it as the buttons are labelled simply and the navigation is easy to get around.Connecting your phone to the Access Point to Camera provides was simple, just hold down the Wifi icon on the camera and look for it on your list on your phone, type 12345678 as the password and you instantly connect. It'll show you the cameras display on your phone with some controls like record etc.. You can also download the clips to your phone which is nice. I found some of the clips to be quite big in size so make sure you have enough space on your phone before downloading. Or you can simply remove the SD card from the camera and plug it into your PC for easy access.Overall this Dashcam is great, it came with lots of extra sticky pads for the camera and some cable clips to stick around your car to keep the USB cable tidy, along with a tool to help push the cable behind the interior. The GPS module has a sticky back to it so you can stick it into your window with ease. The overall footage is very clear and you can read number plates with ease. I took it for a test drive at night and the video quality was very impressive even in low light conditions.

Good Video Quality
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Picture: Video quality is good enough, however, at high speed (30+) it's difficult to capture another vehicle's registration number. You can set 1, 3, 5, 10 minutes of video length and it automatically overrides previous older videos. If you continuously driving then with any length video setting you wouldn't miss any frames in between another video start, however, when you stop and start you might lose some video frames as it stops and creates another video on start/stop. I'm not sure, whether this is by design or some settings I'm not aware of.G Sensor: So far it's working fine, as I have set the g-sensor setting as 'high' therefore, it's picking all sort of shocking such as; car door closing etc.GPS: It's pretty good as well, captures location information accurately, however, the 'Daktam Player' has some sort of issue that's why it shows a light grey overlay on top of the map (see my attached screenshot), but it's not a big issue, however, would love it see a solution for this.Audio: Sound quality wasn't my concern at all, but it records sounds reasonably well, while driving it records car-music or internal passengers talk reasonably clear, not loud though, but it's acceptable.Camera Usage: In-camera video playing and using the camera is not very user-friendly, it could have been much better. But, it stamps the date and real-time GPS information on video that's a very handy feature.WIFI: Connecting the camera with a smartphone (tested with iPhone) was very easy and works pretty well, live footage shows perfect as it would show on the camera's LCD screen, however, sometimes connection gets drop, and you have to connect to the camera wifi after each time you got disconnected for any reason again it's not a big issue.Camera setup: It took 10-15 minutes to set up the camera completely, I would say it's pretty easy but plug in and plug out just the camera from sticky mount is not that user-friendly, therefore, I tend to leave the camera always mounted on the windscreen.Overall, I really liked the camera and its functionality, it does well enough what it supposed to do. Because of its price it's pretty good dash cam on the market, before purchasing this I have shopped around a lot, but this one particularly was fulfilling my requirement properly which is connecting the camera from a USB port not directly from the cigarette lighter port, the camera comes with a cigarette lighter port to dual USB port out connector, which is extremely helpful as I want to charge my phone at the same time, I have already checked even some top end dash cam requires connection directly from the cigarette lighter port. Finally, in a one-liner => yes, I would recommend this camera :)
