Good but can be better....
Instructions aren't very good. I've tried using 12 sheets of 70gsm paper but it struggled with this so have to use less sheets. Can be hit and miss in that some of the holes can be extremely clean and some with bits torn off. It is a dream on plastic sheet covers though. However, if you put the paper directly next to the guide on the left then the bottom hole is right at the end of the sheet of paper so you have to leave a mm or 2 space at the end. It has done well though in that it has served a purpose in what it needs to do. I hope it lasts for a long time as it is a very valuable piece of equipment. Just wish it came with several different sized combs included and would save having to go and buy separate ones which can add up to the costs significantly if it is something that you need to use occasionally.

Interesting toy at a great price.
Instruction booklet could do with a bit more details but no complaint other than that. After punching holes (100 A4 at ten pages a time) I discovered either the idiot who punched the paper or the one who printed the book got it the wrong way round! The holes are on the wrong side! But easy enough - just opened the comb again and punched the other side... wow! interesting... it looks quite good like that... It worked well on the A5 book I printed too - (Switched my brain on this time and got it right). But basically, IT WORKS! I would recommend this comb binding machine to anyone - just don't try using it without putting your brain in gear first. Very easy to use - read some of the other reviews saying it was hard to punch 10 / 12 sheets - must be hellish weak then cause I even punched aluminium litho sheet with it - I don't recommend doing that, however, but just saying it went through it like a hot knife through butter, and its still cutting holes in the paper no problem.

Good value binder
I bought this when I changed jobs, having had one provided by my previous employer and I thought it worked well and was good value. Although the model number is the same it now works a bit differently. It definitely punches cleaner and more easily, although the paper guide is not quite so effective. The bigger difference is the way the handle works to open the comb binder. On the previous version the main handle was pushed 'back', out of the way of the paper you are placing over the comb fingers. On this version it has a second smaller 'lock' lever that holds the comb open at your chosen amount (which is better) but I find that the main handle is still in the front position and tends to get in the way a bit. Not a major problem, just slightly awkward.

Stick to max or less papers
Really good but if you punch the max it takes some pressure, and don't ignore instruction re plastic fronts, you will waste your money having to throw them away, otherwise a sound machine

Purchased this so i can bind my crochet patterns
Used this a hand full of times and last week i struggled to punch 1 laminated sheet and i couldnt do my work. So today i mentioned it to my partner who is very engineering minded and can fix anything. He took it apart today as when i went to cut it wouldnt punch correctly. On looking at the inside i understand why it isnt cutting. Most of the teeth are all different lengths. OMG only 7 out of 21 teeth actually punch right through. Them 7 teeth are long enough, the rest are not cutting right through due to being to short as seen in the pictures. This was only cutting 2 sheets at a time, it was cutting out the plastic front covers poorly that i had to hand finish cutting them with scissors. This is a complete waste of money! Im taking this up with amazon.

Easy to use.
I would like if the punch bits are a bit sharper.

Easy to use and punch multiple pages
I have used this to bind 5 copies of a 160 page document. Its easy to use and you can punch a fair few pages at once which makes it quicker to do. Once they are all punch, its then easy to place in the comb and bind the pages together. The plastic cover that goes over the punch store does slid open fairly easy, occasionally leaving confetti all over your floor, but that's easy enough to clear up.Definitely worth the money in getting a larger one!

Worked for only a short while . . .
Stopped punching after 3 or 4 binds. Now tears instead of punching. This device is ok if you need a temporary fix until you get something a bit more expensive and well made.
