TP-Link Nano USB WiFi Adapter for Desktop PC-AC1300 2.4/5G USB WiFi Dongle

My laptop's wifi adapter started acting finicky, so I bought this external adapter. It is fast, I get around 200-300 mbps out of my 1 gig internet, and the connection is stable. It wasn't difficult to set up. I also like how small it is. However, I have noticed it gets a bit hot.

I absolutely love this WiFi adapter! I own 2 lol The range is really good for an adapter this size. Easy to use, plug and play with windows and Mac. For those kali users, this adapter supports packet injection and monitor mode without any special drivers!

For starters, this suited my application perfectly considering I picked it up for an older laptop with a failing internal wifi adapter, so my standards weren't set very high. The price was perfect and came in way below the cost to replace the internal wireless chip. It connected right out of the box without the need to install drivers, and performed better than the internal adaptor ever did. The design is very sleek and low profile. I didn't bump the adaptor once while moving the laptop around during my room-to-room signal tests. Its ability to pick up a strong or weak steady signal and hold it is great, especially since the laptop was from 2012 and naturally has slower hardware. Even tried out a little light gaming in each room and it held a connection beautifully. I'll likely purchase another one for another older gaming laptop I have, also from 2012 with a slow internal adaptor. That way I won't have to switch this one back and forth between setups If you're looking for a cheap and steady way to connect older hardware to the net, this will get the job done and definitely gets a "would recommend" from me. I'll add images in a few days. First time around I wasn't able to take pictures, but I will shortly to show the level of connectivity in each room and rough distance.

Pro: Works well, easy to use, compact. Con: It gets quite hot while in use. I only use it for short periods of time but I would not use this as a permanent solution out of concern that it could melt my USB socket.

My daughter Wifi card went out on her computer. I wanted to find something I could replace it with, without tearing the computer apart. This arrived quickly. The setup was plug and play. The speeds are great and I haven't heard any complaints about internet not working. Would buy again.

So I had 2 projects. (1) I have a computer with only 2.4G wifi, but no access to any 5G wifi network. Its Wifi adapter was a nano low-profile USB-A adapter, so the upgrade was easy. (2) The 2nd project: after I built a new gaming PC, the spare PC was going to be turned into a console-like system, since there’s no point in selling it or it’s parts. I turned off the onboard WLAN, disconnected the antennas, and switched to the TP-Link low-profile USB adapter. The setup was so easy. I didn’t even need the included disc, but good to know it was available. The adapters worked as soon as the operating system detected the adapters, connected to 5G Wifi, and no problems (so far)

This product states that it supports windows 11, i have search for the correct driver and try to install for windows 11 only to find out that there is no windows 11 driver, not even claimed 10, 8.1, 8, mac driver is found, i downloaded the driver for windows 7 and try to open it to install for windows 11 pc and indeed it does not work because there is no windows 11 driver uploaded into the site at all, hence making this product completely unusable. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT be it from amazon and online shopping or retail stores for this said reason.
