The cards aren't of good playing card quality
It is what it says it is. The cards aren't of good playing card quality, but I don't think that's ever claimed. If you do want to shuffle/manipulate them as cards, my advice is to take small batches and mix them up. It does take a while, but I've managed to convert most of them into easy-to-shuffle cards simply by taking the time to shuffle/mix and/or rub them against each other again and again. It removes the coating that prevents shuffling. It does take time, but it's worth it. (It's certainly worked for me at least.)

Great!
These playing cards were perfect for what I needed. I bought them along with a pack of Sharpies in a variety of colours so that I could make a word game for my pupils. The pens write on the cards perfectly despite other reviewers saying they were too shiny. I found them very useful and have lots to spare in case I need to make a similar game in the future. They would also make great flash cards for revision and you can write on both sides which was great for what I did as it meant I could make them a bit more interesting by drawing pictures on them.

... that they are blank on both sides make them great as flash cards
These are as thick as normal playing cards and the fact that they are blank on both sides make them great as flash cards. I have tried different markers on these and find that it is hard to remove an image (even with acetone) but since they are inexpensive it would be worth considering plenty if you want them for a number of different games. I will be using removable labels on mine but would order more if required.

Waste of money

Great teaching aid
These have been the single most useful teaching aid I've ever used. I run theatre workshops for children and having these cards to scribble character names on or single lines of dialogue for the students to hold is now intrinsic to my work. They're so cheap too that I don't mind using them once and then recycling them. Having said that, some of them are still being used today, despite being purchased some years ago!

Language cards
These are beautifully produced cards. They are slightly shiny but can still be written on using a fountain pen, although you need to be careful as they take some time to dry. Blotting paper is essential, especially if you need to write on both sides. The result is wonderful, however. Hitherto I have used normal 6x4" record cards, but they are slightly too big and can't be shuffled very easily. So I was delighted to light upon these a week ago, and have just placed another order. I would have welcomed little playing-card size packets to keep them in. Any suggestions?

Recommended!
I use these cards to make presents. There are a full 200 cards.Though the edges are not very smooth, but all of the cards are of the same shape and size! One side is slightly silkier, the other more matte-like. Not very different though!Light pencil mark is easily rubbed off! Pen ink requires a longer time for it to dry thoroughly.

good cards
I brought the card to use them as demo cards for a game. the quality is not bad they feel a little weird when holding. the texture of the card I don't think it great quality. also they are not as think as standard card that I usually hold and play with. but they do the job I need them to do and its a good buy for the price.
