How to connect this WiFi water timer to WiFi?

The WiFi water timer only connect with 2.4GHz WiFi. If your router is a dual-band router, please independently enable the 2.4GHz WiFi band and name it differently from the 5GHz WiFi band.

How do I keep the timer connected stably?

Please connect the WiFi hub to the 2.4Ghz WiFi as close to the WiFi water timer as possible and at a height of more than 1 meter above the ground, so as to increase the signal propagation range of the WiFi hub.

Can the water timer survive a winter to continue next year?

Sure, but you'll need to take the timer off the faucet before the temperature drops below 37°F and shake out the interior water and remove the batteries, then keep it in a warm room.
