We had spent forever hanging our string lights during the "lovely" brutal TX Summer heat and only had them for a couple months before the box went out from the long rain spell we got in October. We got this little guy and our lights are working again without having to buy new lights!! Highly recommend to try this before thinking you have to buy new lights.SN: FYI the adapter has its own settings to control the lights, so if you have your own light remote, your remote may or may not work with it.

Items did not work

Bought the 30volt/.2amp version (you don’t need to know the watts) to replace what came on the lights. Our lights are on timers and it was terrible needing to go out and reset the pattern every night because the cheap transformers don’t have an EEPROM (memory) chip. They also default to a “random” pattern, which is simply horrible.Installed them last night and was pleasantly surprised that when the timers kicked on tonight the lights came on solid/static where I had set them last night! So - good to go. The version I received has like 8 settings and definitely DOES remember your previous setting. Highly recommended to replace what comes on most light strands these days.

These are a perfect replacement for the one that came with my Christmas decorations

I just wanted to stop the blinking! Everytime I would turn on my Christmas lights I'd have to reset the string to the solid lights as the original power supply would "forget" once turned off. With 5 different strings on an automated timer, this was a pain. These replacent transformers solved the problem.
