Great for kids, not so much for adults.
This item is a beautiful colour, a nice design, and a lovely idea. It was well packaged, and did not smell of chemicals or plastic, despite being vacuum-packed. However, I did send it back, as there is no possible way the person it was bought for could snuggle into it comfortably (she's a size 12-14).The lower portion of the leg part is so tight that even the slim-legged sized 5 feet recipient could get in there with room to move comfortably. It was like watching poor Frodo Baggins after he'd met Shelob. The seam up the back also ended just below her bum, so THAT was getting cold, as she likes to lie on her side to watch the telly or read.However, for a small child with short legs and small feet, this a lovely item as a present, hence three stars instead of one.

A fun gift
I bought this to make a friend smile. There are so many pattern variations with these mermaid tails and I'm pleased that I chose the close knit version. I'd recommend looking closely at the pattern to make sure you don't choose a 'holey' version. Not as long as I had hoped. When I was considering the measurements I had assumed that your feet would fit into the tail - but that's my fault. I can't fault the packaging and delivery time.
