I'm glad I took a chance on this!
I was unsure about buying this given the mixed reviews but am so glad I did! A lot of reviews complain about this product being too fiddly to be worthwhile.Yes, it is fiddly the first time - It took quite a while to set it up correctly and quite a bit of trial and error to get the image lined up enough. But once you've got the hang of it and have the adaptor in the basic settings for your binoculars/telescope and mobile phone, future applications aren't as fiddly.Yes, you can't expect to spot an animal with your binoculars, quickly attach your phone and manage to get a shot before the animal moves off, since you have to tighten the various parts to secure the phone to the binoculars. I think for that, you would need higher end equipment. But at the same time, it only takes me a minute or two (if that!) to have everything attached and aligned and ready for some photography.I have used this with two different mobile phone models and not had any issue. With the first model (Samsung Galaxy J5), the optimal position resulted in the clamp going over the power button. As long as you "escape" from the shut down options and only tighten the clamp enough to keep the phone in place and no more, this isn't an issue.

Good quality
Very well made item and well thought out. It's not the easiest of things to set up but once you have it works quite well. I have found that you must get the phone lens as close to the spotters lens as possible otherwise light seems to affect the picture quality. Overall a decent bit of kit

Quality Smartphone Adaptor
Having wasted money before on smartphone adaptors I thought I'd risk throwing more money away with this one, but at last I've found one that actually works and gives good results! The Adaptor feels quite sturdy and there doesn't seem to be any 'looseness' in it once fixed in place to the eyepiece of my telescope. The main arm can be adjusted left/right and up/down and there is enough depth in the walls of the 'cradle' to slightly tilt the smartphone forward/back to enable perfect alignment between the camera lens and eyepiece. Just a slight bit of digital zoom on the smartphone camera removes the vignetting. My LG G5 comfortably fits this Universal Adaptor and I am very happy with the build and ease of use.

Solomark Universal Cell Phone Adapter Mount
It's stronger than it looks, fitted an iphone XS max in it, just. The case wouldn't sit comfortably in the short stubby holders but once removed it was ok. The buttons on the side of the phone kept being interfered with if you're not careful. I was setting a telescope up at night so couldn't see that the buttons were being pressed and 250 pics of the floor were the result. Anyway, after a bit of faffing it did sort of work. I also tried it on a pair of binoculars and the weight of the phone meant that the eyepiece focus changed as it flopped down. So in summary, it's strong, well made, a bit fiddly to set up on a telescope but it works with a bit of perseverance.

Good piece of kit.
The rig is good and photos are reasonable but I use this with iPhone XS Max. It doesn’t list this iPhone for use with it but you can with some tweaking. Volume buttons can get in the way and tightening the clamp tends to result in loads of burst photos. Way round this is to use matchstick or dried spaghetti stick from packet placed on side of iPhone below buttons so clamp doesn’t press buttons. Not perfect but no burst shots. Second issue is iPhone XS Max (mine at least) doesn’t let you use telephoto lense to take picture. when you line up on this lens it just shows black on iPhone. It uses the standard lense and software to give you telephoto result. Probably get best results from a smartphone with only one lense.

Simple and effective - can't complain for the price
I use this to attach Galaxy Note 9 to a pair of binoculars that in turn are mounted on a tripod via a ball joint.. This "Solomark" one looks identical to the official Gosky one (both brands are on this same amazon page!), and similar to the Nocoex/Lakwar versions (they don't have the drop-down plate, and slightly different camera grip, for £5 less). It's mechanically simple, and given the narrowness of the grip in the axial direction, it attaches solidly to my binocular eyepiece. (The eyepiece has a radially outward step halfway along its axis, which makes attaching the Celestron Nexyz less robust. But that's another review.)Once you have the hang of adjusting the two screws to align the camera position with the binocular eyepiece, it seems solid. You'll need both hands to adjust both screews and stop the camera falling out, since like all these mounts, they only grip the sides of the phone, they don;t support the phone from below. The axial distance between the phone's camera, and the eyepiece, seems good enough to enable a decent snap or video - make sure to focus the binoculars well first, then adjust the magnification on the phone. There's enough freedom of movement to handle phones whose cameras are in the corner, or halfway along the phone's width.I use the phone's pen to trigger the shot; the timer also helps.Make sure it's set up in daytime - it can be really tricky to adjust in the dark, especially if the binoculars are tilted up to track the moon (and no-one wants to drop their phone!)(It's a lot easier to attach solidly, and more robust on my binoculars than the Celestron Nexyz, but that's partly the problem with the step in the eyepiece design, and there are other issues with the Celestron anyway.)

Easy to fit and ajust to my teliscope.
Hi, I've just come indoors after setting up this cell-phone adapter on my telescope, it's 6.25 am on Sunday morning November 2017 and I'm astounded of the ease of setting up this adapter, and to think all these years I've been straining my eye's looking through my lenses with most times a cricked neck in the process, I wish I had got one of these years ago, I will be informing all my friends about the ease of fitting this devise and how well made it is, and lots of adjustment variations to get centred on your lenses', a nicely engineered piece of equipment no astronomer should be without, I'm impressed, it also fits onto all my camera tripods for media events like chatting and communicating with friends on line, all hands free, a must for budding astronomers and photographer ET.C, thanks for a wonderful device, from Matthew & Mylee.

These may not suit all binoculars
Well on the upside its very well made. On the downside It was not comparable with ny new onion Astro binoculars, due to the rubberised eye covers not being able to be easily folded back or removed so the iPhone/Huawei phone could not focus. It is a well made item and it did connect to my lower powered Nikon binoculars but I wanted it for the larger more powerful lens on the Orion binoculars.

Good materials an stability. Excellent quality.
The screws can be gradually adjusted with precision. Solid metal that provide the rigidity needed. Soft foam parts in the parts that are in contact with the phone. Chose the XL version for vanguard telescope visors.
