Wheelchair Powerpack - Attendant Dual Wheel from Fenetic

I ordered the powerpack from "Fenetic Wellbeing" on a Wed pm and received it on the Friday am - excellent service and well packed - In terms of assembly it caters for different tube frame sizes with additionally different sized mounting peices in a seperate bag (although the manual doesn't indicate this) - It's a simple but effective fitting but can be a bit fiddly until you get the optimum position for the mounting clips just take your time and don't rush things, other than that, it's a straight forward installation and all the necessary tools are included in a plastic wallet too.The motor is quiet with excellent torque and transfers power with little effort - the variable speed controller is as smooth as silk and responds to all settings really well - hardly any delay when switching to reverse although the trigger control must be returned to zero before you switch otherwise the motor will not switch to reverse.....For the money I don't think it can be beaten - Dual drive wheels and a capable 20amp battery should provide the necessary power to propel a heavyweight like myself at(17 stone)- there are other makes on the market costing nearly double this price, so up to now - I am delighted with the purchase.My wife will be able to tag along for the ride now instead of pushing like a cart horse - We are looking forward to many trips using this powerpack.

How did we ever manage without this?!Fantastic product which has enabled me to take mum out more often, without having to worry about my back on the slopes /hills!Once brackets fixed to chair it's so easy to set up and use. Battery lasts really well on full charge (even around the hills in Cornwall!) though l charge it every night when in use all day as don't want to run the risk of being caught out!Battery pack itself is quite heavy but once in place, along with an 11st lady, the chair glides along at whatever pace you set...you simply vary the speed according to the incline (like a car accelerator) The only effort required is to assist a little on steeper gradients. Trust me, there's NO WAY l could manage to physically push mum around daily without this fantastic piece of equipment!Highly recommended

A good unit. Not only does it help pushing up slopes but makes for a smoother ride for my wife on rougher surfaces, possibly because with the motor powering the centre of gravity is lower. had hoped that the motor would have had more braking torque for downward slopes.Not too difficult to fit, but it does mean stooping down to clip into place for use and sometimes I cannot be bothered as the unit and the battery are both heavy. Once in place, though it is good and has a good range and the lead acid battery can be kept charged easily.

This is great for going on long journeys. Harder to use in the house. Sometimes when I press the button to change to reverse it still goes forward! Don't the on off button is that secure as it has come off in my hands a few times but you just push it back on

Sadly not very powerful. We go incredibly slowly.

Both parents in their 80s,dad can't walk,mum unable to push him in wheelchair. Therefore they were prisoners in their own home unless given help. This powerpack has given them their independance back. So simple to fit. Just make sure the alun key REALLY tightens the fixtures. Easy to operate. A little fiddly to charge,but nothing is perfect.

Found it awkward to use especially down hill as kept catching my feet on the wheels, even though it was fitted to wheelchair as far forward as was possible ( on Roma chair ). Also not as powerful as expected.

Fantastic! This power pack has made life so much easier when out in the wheelchair. Propels the wheelchair so the attendant only has to guide direction of the chair. Takes all the hard work out of pushing. Anyone that has any questions just email me I'm happy to help. [email protected]
