Cheap but Very Cheerful
Needed a cheep filter to protect the front of my lens until it is time to use it. Generally remove filters for Astro but leave on for wide angle Landscaping. This UV filter has 16 layers and is of medium quality. I would normally use Hoya or Conkin but needed this in a hurry. It has a very low profile and seems to do the job most splendidly. Very happy with this filter to at least keep the dirt and dust off my glass. Time will tell how durable it is but by its appearance it looks promising. Great value for money. Excellent in fact.

Excellent UV Filter for My DSLR Lens
I recently purchased the MC 49mm UV Filter - Ultra Slim 16 Layers Multi Coated Ultraviolet Protection Lens Filter for my Canon DSLR lens, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. This filter has proven to be an essential accessory for my photography needs, providing excellent protection for my lens while delivering exceptional image quality. First and foremost, the build quality of this UV filter is outstanding. It feels solid and well-made, and the slim design adds to its aesthetic appeal. The installation process was effortless, and it fits securely onto my lens without any issues. The threading is smooth and precise, allowing for easy attachment and removal. The 16 layers of multi-coating on this filter are truly impressive. I have noticed a significant reduction in unwanted reflections, flares, and ghosting in my photos. The filter effectively blocks out UV light, which helps in preserving the true colors and sharpness of my images. I have also found it to be highly durable, with no signs of scratches or marks despite extensive use in various outdoor conditions. Moreover, this filter does not introduce any noticeable degradation to the image quality. The pictures I capture with the MC UV filter exhibit remarkable clarity, contrast, and overall brilliance. It serves as an additional layer of protection for my lens, shielding it from dust, dirt, and potential scratches without compromising the image quality. In terms of compatibility, this filter is versatile and works flawlessly with Canon, Nikon, and Sony DSLR lenses that have a 49mm filter thread. It is a convenient option for photographers who own multiple camera systems or lenses from different brands. Lastly, the price point for this UV filter is reasonable, considering the quality and performance it offers. I believe it is a worthwhile investment to safeguard the longevity and performance of my valuable lenses. To summarize, the MC 49mm UV Filter is an exceptional accessory for any DSLR lens. Its build quality, effective UV protection, and impressive image quality make it a must-have for photographers. I highly recommend this filter to anyone in need of reliable lens protection and improved photographic results. Well done, MC! Perfect to just throw on the end for protection
I'm not going to review the image quality or speculate about the performance. This for me was a cheap and quick way to protect the end of a £100 lens. The filter came well packed and secure, dust and mark free. A quick wipe and it was fitted to the lens, visually it makes the lens look a bit nicer, but more importantly it protects the end of the lens from any dust, sand or small fingers! As i said, i'm not going to go over the image quality, it's a small 49mm filter, for me it's covering the end of a Canon nifty 50, and at £100 for the lens it does exactly what's needed. It's not like my other 77mm jobs the the L series glass! For the money, it's a small price to pay for a bit of extra protection.

Kept my lens safe from dog
The day I brought my lens I out this uv filter on it and I was at the beach and this great big pit bull wasn’t on a leash and it jumped at me and my camera, sand a slobber everywhere but the filter took the worst of it and this filter saved my camera from the full force of a pit bull dog, it was enough to send my camera which was on a tripod and me flying backwards in to the sand and I just replaced the filter with another one of these as it did suck a good job at protecting my prime lens. I was one of those people that thought I didn’t need a filter but my friend convinced me and it’s a good job she did because it saved me lens from impact, sand and dogs drool. It’s good quality and worth the money in my opinion

Just as good as Hoya Pro
I normally buy well known branded filters to use on my lenses, the last few being Hoya Pro which aren't cheap. Having just bought a new Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens which takes a large 77mm filter, I thought I might try something cheaper as I only wanted a UV filter to protect its front element from scratching. I saw these filters and at £7.99 thought it would be worth a try, as it is a fraction of the big brand price and it arrived next day (thank you Amazon Prime) Very, very impressed with the quality - the filter is Ultra slim and build quality and finish is excellent. It even has a very thin gold band which matches the Sigma. It fits snugly to the lens and has a threaded front element for lens cap etc. There is no vignetting at the wide angle setting which was a worry, but the filter ring is as I say very slim. In use it is perfectly invisible and optically it appears every bit as good as my hoya filters, I switched them about and really can't tell the difference. These filters are brilliant value and I won't hesitate to buy again

Does the job
Glass came loose in frame, but was able to tighten the securing ring up and fix it
