Nowadays our Springer Spaniel wears one of these on one of his front feet every time he goes for a walk. The Thing with these is that they stay on - often dog boots don't stay on the dog. And if the boot stays on a Springer who runs around like a loon and goes swimming then that's a pretty good recommendation. They have an elastic cuff and an elasticated velcro strap which goes around the ankle, you need to do that up good and tight but he's fine wearing them and shows no signs of discomfort even if he's been out for hours. He's even climbed a Munro wearing one and they seem to grip surprisingly well, even on slippery surfaces. We find that one of these lasts perhaps a week before we need to replace it - say 15 hours on the dog. On him they wear along the edge just above the sole and eventually wear through and start to split. As we want to keep abrasive dirt away from his sore paw we chuck them out at that point although they are actually useable for longer. NB Neither the breathable or the waterproof ones are actually waterproof and if the dog is going swimming the breathable ones are best as the water can run out. The waterproof ones trap it and the dog ends up with a bag of water on the end of its leg. However the waterproof ones are fine for snow or slush. If the dog has a dressing you want to protect then you need to buy a size to suit the bulk of the dressing - at a pinch you can also cut the boot to enable it to open up more and we've found that the breathable sort don't rip. We've found that the combination of a good cohesive bandage and one of these boots over the top of a dressing will keep the dressing dry even if the dog goes swimming. Doesn't get any better than that.

We recently spent a large sum of money in veterinary charges as our Jack Russel Terrier got an infection/injury to its front paw. As a result of this he had to wear one of those silly looking ''lampshade'' implements on his head to stop him worrying at his paw; this was great, yet not very practical for walks and fun so we purchased a set of 4 booties for £5.55. Well believe me when I say it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the vets . They come in different sizes to fit all dogs and they are easy to put on; which is a big plus point. They have Velcro straps which can be adjusted for comfort and they are also waterproof, with non slip soles. Also they are breathable so the paws don't overheat or sweat, which can make healing more difficult. The booties are great for daily use and can be used for other reasons as well as protection against chewing and licking. In very hot weather they can be used to stop your dog getting burnt paws and the same goes for extreme cold and if salt has been put onto roads and pavements. All in all I think for the price these are a great buy. I really don't have any negative points to give which suits me. If your dog's paws need protection for the short term these are ideal and I would recommend them to anyone.

Not waterproof and break easily but otherwise light to wear and stayed on my dogs feet quite okay. Not bad.

Ordered these to protect an infected front paw which needed to be kept clean and dry as it had no dressing on it. I was slightly sceptical as to whether these would stay on and/or do the job as my dog is very active with large paws and skinny legs and everything else I had tried just fell off. Before ordering these I measured my dogs paws according to the instructions. These boots have been GREAT!!!! They go on easily and seem to be comfortable as my dog has been wearing one pretty much all the time for 3 days and overnight and at no point has she shown any sign of wanting to remove it. The stretchy sock part means that they go on easily over the foot and the velcro means they can be fastened securely (even on my dogs skinny legs) so they don't come off during normal activities. (The one time it came off was when my dog had been digging vigorously at something during a walk). The foot part is broad with a breathable upper and a thick rubbery sole so it keeps the foot pad dry and doesn't wear through. And because there are 4 in the pack I have been able to change and wash the boots every day. I've been carrying a spare on walks in case she lose one but haven't needed to use it. Very good product - has done exactly what I needed it to do.

These arrived yesterday evening, Used two on my dogs front paws on for a 20 minute walk today and when I removed the shoes they are falling apart already, purchased these as I have had them before a few years ago and they lasted a while, very disappointed as likely be 8n the bin by the end of the week, looked if I could message the seller but there is no link to message the seller and only says you can return if damaged on deliver but I would expect the item to survive 1 short dog walk. if the seller would message me I would appreciate it

We have smooth floors and an old Labrador so wanted something to give her more grip in the house.The pack included four boots, the quality looked OK but to be honest i never really thought dog boots would stay in place so it was a gamble. The fit was about OK (Large) and we have a Labrador, the issue i had is that they turned round within minutes so that the skid-proof surface was on the top of the foot, we tried them a few times but soon gave up.

Bought these for the dog to go up and Down some steep stairs at my mums house. They look like they will do the job and fit him well if not a tad large but that is my fault for buying the XL version.Update.As previously stated I had bought the wrong size and I think the large would of been more suitable for my dog (Boxer). The boots worked very well on the slippery steps and I'm glad to report we had no slips or falls. As you can imagine he found the coming down harder than the going up but they at least allowed us to have peaceful night sleeps. So to sum up, boots to big but that was entirely my fault but they worked brilliantly for the purpose we bought them for. No change in the 5* rating originally given.

Après avoir acheté de nombreuses chaussettes, bottes et autres pour ma chienne colley qui, se paralysant du train arrière, glisse de partout et s'use les griffes à force de frotter des pattes arrières, voilà enfin des bottes intérieur extérieur qui tiennent et sont confortables pour elle.Il a juste fallu renforcer le devant avec du gros scotch pour que les bottes ne s'usent pas sur l'asphalte pendant les ballades, mais quel bonheur de pouvoir enfin la protéger comme il faut.Pour éviter de la comprimer de trop, je les enlève quand je sais qu'elle va se coucher pendant un moment.Je recommande vivement ce produit.
